Great Value for a Solid Product
For the overall cost of the DECHOYECHO Bluetooth Headset, this device delivers a very solid product. Here is what I tested: The device arrived charged at 100%, which was a great start. Charging is simple but unique—there’s no USB-C port on the headset itself. Instead, the charging connector is located on the device, which must be seated inside the charging case. The case connects to a USB-C adapter for charging. While I personally prefer the option to plug in directly, this design works efficiently. The headset also comes with various earbud sizes. I swapped out the default medium ear tip for a larger one to get the perfect fit. The audio quality is very clear. The first thing I did was listen to an audiobook while doing some tasks around the house. I then continued listening in the car while running errands. During this time, I made a couple of phone calls, and the audio on both ends was crystal clear. For my phone tests, I used an iPhone SE 2020, and the pairing process was effortless. The middle button worked seamlessly for answering calls. Again, the call quality was excellent, and those on the other end had no issues hearing me. Next, I connected the device to my MacBook Pro for remote work calls. While I didn’t speak much during the meetings, the audio was solid for listening. It’s worth noting that using Bluetooth devices on computers can vary based on configurations, so while it worked well for me, others may have different experiences depending on their setup. Overall, I give this headset five stars for its amazing price and performance. It’s a wonderful device for phone conversations and audio listening. Keep in mind that it’s a one-ear device, so it’s not designed for stereo sound or activities like jogging that require both ears. However, you can easily adjust it for use in either the right or left ear. The only slight drawback is that you can’t charge the headset directly with a USB-C cable—it must be seated in the charging case. While this is more of a preference than a flaw, it’s worth mentioning. I also own the prior version of this device, and that was a great product too. The new version improves on it in several ways, making it a fantastic value for the price!

Great product, great price, excellent performance
I searched around for a lot of different headsets. I was looking for a reasonably priced option that would be used solely in the office for conference calls and meetings (zoom/teams/webex). Many options are bulky, don't fit properly, have poor battery life, are uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time, etc. Over the ear noise cancelling ones block out too much sound and make it difficult to gauge how loud/soft you are speaking. iPods, Beats, Plantronics and such are expensive and many don't have the battery life to last a full day on the phone. I found these headphones to be an excellent choice. They are light enough and comfortable enough to wear all day. I have put them in my ear and used them for a full day without removing and never had any discomfort or other issues that sometimes happens with in-ear headsets. The ear loop fits well without irritation, and the set is light enough that it doesn't pull, need to be adjusted or fall out. Sound quality is excellent. On other headsets I have used the volume needs to be cranked up to properly hear the conversation. On these you can set it in the middle of the range and it is sufficiently loud enough while still giving you room to make louder if necessary. Battery life is good and the case provides a nice digital readout of charge level. Overall an excellent product at a fraction of the price of others

Outstanding device all the way around
I was nervous about ordering a blue tooth device as I am not a "tech guy". The directions made it fairly easy to get ready to use. Only had to charge it up, done by simply plugging the carry case in with a standard charging cable. Boom, Done. Pairing was super easy on both my laptop and my Android phone. I can have both paired at once so if anyone calls while I am watching a movie or doing computer stuff the headset will pick up the call with no problems. Charging is easy everywhere as the carry case can charge the device at least 3 times so it does not have to be plugged in very often. I only have one working ear so for me there is no option of right or left. This device is designed to fit either side and it is comfortable. It took a couple of days for me to get used to having it on but now I sometimes don't remember that I'm wearing it. The device does not interfear with my normal hearing even for me with only one good ear. It lets normal sound through as if it were not there. This is a major plus. Battery life is super good. I have been watching T.V. and movies on my phone and lap top all day every day that I am idle and have had no issues with use time. This is a super good deal and a very good device. Highly recommend this to anyone that wants a very good blue tooth device that is easy to operate and so far has been very reliable.

Almost perfect.
Update - It's been 1 1/2 years of using this product now and it still works great aside from the range and the mute button. I can still get about 10-15 feet away with no issues. I think there is a lot of interference now from so many devices using bluetooth. Mute doesn't work, but not a big deal. Considering buying a second one so I have a dedicated one for my workstation and a second one for when I travel. I've been using this headset for a over a month now so here is what I have found. This headset promises a lot of great features and it almost delivers on all of them. Let's start with the positives. The description says that the headset can be fully charged in 1.5 hours which is true. The charging case has a battery digital meter display (not as bright/noticeable as the description/pictures) and shows battery life which is true. The description says comfortable, fits both ears, the ear hook and boom rotate and swivel, lightweight and can be worn for hours. This is all true. I have tried this headset on both ears and have worn it for hours through back to back work meetings and after a little bit of time I forget I'm wearing the headset which is fantastic. The description says true wireless with clear sound and stable connection. This is true as well. After months of complaints from coworkers of not being able to hear me in meetings using Apple Airpods and Power Beats Pro, I purchased this headset. I have asked everyone if they can hear me since purchasing this headset and everyone that has ever met with me says they can hear me so much better now. And as far as the stable connection, I move around a lot and the connection is solid as long as I don't move too far away from my laptop. The description says easy to use and connect the first time and pairs and connects automatically after that. This is true. Super easy to use. I even have it paired to two different laptops and switch between them all the time. The only caveat is that when switching, you have to manually tell the laptop to connect, but once it's connected the one time, it will auto connect every other time. Sadly, there are 2 features I was really looking forward to that is does not deliver on. The description says the range is 33 feet. This is not true. If I get 20 feet away it starts to become unstable and by 30 feet disconnects. This is where the Apple Airpods and Powerbeats Pro were better. I could easily be 30 feet away and in different rooms before the the Apple products disconnected. I was really hoping this headset would be similar, but it is not. The description says it has a Mute feature controlled by a dedicated button on the headset itself. This is what I was most excited for when I purchased this headset and sadly it does not work. I have tried 50-60 times in various meetings and the mute button only ever worked one time. I pressed the button and it verbally confirmed I was muted or unmuted, but it only ever worked for one meeting. That button does not work and it's very unfortunate. Overall this is great headset, but it is not getting 5 stars because of the failed Mute feature and lack of range.

Button layout makes it easy to use while driving
So look, I know.. I know that I have a headset problem. I’m a truck driver, and a headset is like a piece of my body. Since I’m required to wear one by my company, it has to be comfortable and super simple to use while driving. My drivers-cam actually flags me if I spend more than 3 seconds on any task, including operating my headset. All that to say, I’m always looking for a headset that is easier to use and more comfortable to wear. When I saw this new model of a style I bought before come out, I knew I had to pick it up. A few of the changes that I really like are: 1. The new charging port location. It is now part of the ear piece instead of the microphone, so closing the case ensures a tight fit and a good charge. My old one wouldn’t always have a tight fit depending on the earbud orientation, and didn’t always charge, so this was the biggest plus. 2. All of the buttons are on the earpiece, and not the microphone part. This makes it very easy to reach up and hit the button as fast as possible since I always know where they are. Before I would waste time feeling for where the mic was pointing, finding the button and pressing it. Realistically, that didn’t take more than a second or two.. But that would put me at risk for getting flagged for distracted driving. This doesn’t have the wasted time. The buttons are ALWAYS exactly where I expect them to be. That’s it, those two minor yet important changes made this a must buy for me since in every other way these are already a solid model. Battery life didn’t change, it still gives me more than 14 hours of straight audio books. The sound is loud enough to be heard over the diesel engines in my truck. If the people making these would like another sale in the future, I have a single recommendation that will make the next one a must have for me. If you could make the lcd screen that shows the remaining battery life of the case, also show the current charge of the inserted headset so I can see when it’s fully charged, it would be perfection.

Much better than average with a few flaws
I am a service technician; I put it on at 7am and don’t normally take it off until 5-6pm when I get home. I use it for calls, teams meetings, zoom, pod casts and listen to audio books most of the day. It is very comfortable to wear. This headset is the first one I have seen that the part that goes into your ear is at a 45 degree angle, this makes placing the mic next to your mouth easy (returned last headset because when you moved the mic close it would pull the ear piece out of your ear). As far as call quality goes; Calls are clear at both ends and most people can’t tell I am on a headset, it even works well in noisy environments. There have been a few times that there is a lot of static, but this goes away if you power cycle the headset. Range; Is better than most, I can go anywhere in my house with my phone in my office without losing signal. The case is also a power cell and the only way to charge the headset. It is fast and gives the percent of battery (of the case) when you put the headset in to charge. Battery life; This is a tough one since I use it a lot. Normally I can use it all day and never have a problem. I have even gone 1 ½ days without charging. Today however, was the first time I connected it to a second phone and right as I walked into the house I got the low battery warning (this I will have to keep an eye on and update). Biggest complaint; Low battery warning. “Battery Low”, minute or 2 later “Battery Low”, minute or 2 later “Battery Low”, minute or 2 later “Battery Low”, minute or 2 later “Battery Low”, DEAD. Overall I am very happy with the Quality and Fit of this headset. It connects quickly when you remove it from the case. I don’t feel like it fully power cycles when you put in the case, and sometime (every second /third day) you have to do a real power cycle. I am not sure if it is really worth a 5 star review, but is undeniably better than 4 stars. PS. In the box was a thank you card with a scratch off for a chance to win a free headset. I won, and in less than a week, I received free headset. Waited to write review just to make sure they weren’t holding the free one until they got a review.

If it hurts, try your other ear
I drive for a living, and hands free is a must; but I neither wanted something big and bulky like most "trucker" style headsets, nor did I want to pay a lot for something like a BlueParrot or Plantronics which have (relatively) mediocre battery life, no charging cases (or are absurdly priced extras). This seemed like the "best of the rest" in that it has a charging case, isn't overly bulky and far more reasonably priced, and has USB-C charging. I can have it in for 8-12 hours and still not need to recharge it (playing music about 75% of that time, a few shortish calls and the rest idle). The charging case can easily last me a week between charges though I usually top it up every couple of days just in case I forget. In other words the battery life is amazing. In comparison, I have a pair of Sony ear pods with a charging case (YF-XB700's specifically) and they last only 4-6 hours of playback with maybe 2-1/2 charges from the case. I have not timed how long either the headset takes to charge; but from ~50% capacity on the case it was full again within a couple hours. For reference I've used it about 22 hours this week and the case is only down to 84% charge. The sound quality is....adequate. Definitely below that of my Sony's but those are *meant* for music, but it's definitely above a lot of budget cans; even without accounting for the fact that it's a single-ear unit. In other words, if you're like me and can only have one-ear "occupied" it's definitely good enough. When it comes to calls I can hear people easily even in a loud environment (eg right next to a large diesel engine); and people seem to be able to hear me clearly as well (or at least, nobody has made any complaints or asked me to repeat myself). Honestly *for me* it's better than holding up the actual phone to my ear. I can't comment on any claims to noise-canceling though. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but with it being only a single-ear device I can't personally notice any. The product info lists that you can be connected to two devices simultaneously. I have not tested this but will say it connects to my phone faster than I can put it on; and if I walk too far away and it disconnects, the reconnection is virtually instantaneous when I get back in range. I've never had to manually reconnect it or had any issues of it dropping connection when it shouldn't. The product images claim 33 ft range, but real-world I'd say closer to 60-100 depending on what's between you and your phone or nearby interference. I personally have never lost connection while closer than ~50ft even when there's a bunch of metal and an engine block between me and my phone. The controls are....interesting. You have the main button on the "outside"; which acts as your power button, call accept / end and voice assistant (the last only when you're not on a call / have music playing). There is a single button which acts as a mute (have not used) and a pair of buttons which are your vol+/- and when long-pressed track advance / reverse. The latter buttons are where things are slightly weird. The Vol + button when long pressed gives you....track reverse. Intuitively you would expect it to skip forward. Not a big deal but takes some getting used to. The ear loop itself is a minor con. It's comfortable enough but it's size and shape make wearing any kind of eye-wear awkward. You get used to it, but expect your glasses / sunglasses to be slightly lopsided as a result. Now for it's biggest con. When I first got it, I was wearing it in my (preferred) left ear. No matter what I did it HURT after just a few minutes. I'm talking genuine pain and bruising even the next day, and that's not something I've experienced with any other headset or earbud. Tried all of the different squishy caps, extending the ear-loop in and out (the whole 2-3mm it moves); rotating the ear nub up and down etc. Nothing worked and I was on the verge of returning it; but couldn't wait for a different brand to be delivered so I opted to try and "rest" my left ear by wearing it in my right. I don't know if it's because my ears are shaped differently from each other or if the device itself just doesn't "adjust" as much as it should to fit on the left but I haven't had a single problem since swapping to my right side. No discomfort at all, even after 12+ hours. Long story short I've now had this set for around a month, wearing it 60+ hours a week and I'm happy. I would be *happier* if I could wear it on my left but I'm not about to pay 2-3x more just to try a different brand. I've given it an overall of 3 stars, but realistically I would probably give it 3-1/2. It would be a solid 4+ if wearing it on my left side didn't cause such significant pain and the other minor issues addressed.
