When I opened the box I quickly realized that someone else had returned this item! As you can see in the picture the screws came in a zip lock bag, and there was a hair in the bag (ugh!) The allen wrench was missing. I very carefully reviewed all the other parts in the box and found that only the wrench was missing. I was able to put the console table together using my own allen wrench and it looks great.It just really bugs me that Amazon would send me a previously opened item and not label the sale as an open box sale (which should be sold at a considerable discount)!The table is very sturdy once it was put together.

I fell in love with the 55" long version and hoped it would be just as lovely as it was in the description pictures. It is! It makes a great behind-the-sofa console. The height is perfect, the metalwork excellent, and looks far more expensive than it is. It has a glass top, but it's packaged really well, so all arrived ok. It really is beautiful.

What was supposed to be 10 minutes assembly ended being more than 2 hours, the holes at the bottom didn’t match so we had to come up with several ways force them - screws barely hanging in there, I ended up not placing anything on the bottom just so it won’t collapse. I could have returned it and I wanted to but ended up keeping due to difficulty repackaging the item.
