Has anyone tried this in a home audio system? Was it successful? Were there any compatibility and distortion problems?

I am currently using it in my home theater system.

Does anyone know exact dimensions of this unit? Not in packaging

as wide as regular DIN stereo 1" tall and close to 6" deep front to back

Are the lights bright at night?

I would not place it facing you , yes , not VERY bright but bright enough to be annoying, , the orange lighting was my reason for this unit since blue lights disturb my vision , It is best to mount this unit out of line-of sight IMO , Mine is under my seat- but doesn't light up everything in front of it

When Fader is all the way to the left there is no sound at all

Check your inputs, if left input has no cable that equals no sound.
