Bought this for my prep stash and it's missing a lot of pages, but still interesting to read. Many "recipes" need blast caps, and I'm pretty sure that my curious internet research on that has landed me on a fed list. I don't think you can even get blast caps and if you did, the shoddy info in this book would lead you to blowing an appendage off. I wasn't expecting what's in this book. Surprised it's legal to buy.

Fairly certain that purchasing this will put you on some kind of government watch list. Personally, I have no use for the information in this booklet, but I was for some reason fascinated in having a look at what information this manual has to share. The instructions are decent, albeit a little simplistic, and lacking sufficient background information about the chemistry that is going on during the procedures. All in all, I would say that, while fun to read and perhaps thought-provoking for your avid mad scientist or flippant teenager, the information in this booklet is honestly not very useful. If you were to dabble with these things, you would have to go through a lot of trial and error, because by today’s standards, the procedures are just very vague and leave a lot of room for error. Especially in a society where people have become so accustom to being spoon fed. Still, fun to read.

This is a good manual for free men and women. With a small amount of previous chemistry know how. All the recipes in this book are achievable. Occasionally one must fill in the blanks themselves as for legal purposes some recipes have been edited.(in my previous copy I had the proper ratios and procedures noted down like the halfblood prince.) Do be careful though and for legal reasons, don't actually make anything in this manual unless it's past the collapse of civilization already.

I bought this book for research on a fictional story I'm writing, and hopefully publishing in the future. The vast majority of it pretty much went over my head. I wanted a grasp of improvised munitions such as what are/were utilized in Europe during WWII, and this book covers it very well. I'm in no way any kind of scientifically-inclined individual, so I had to look up what some of the chemical terms were. This isn't really a book that turns you into a mad kitchen chemist capable of IEDs... there's definitely an impression left that this is the sort of thing that probably was useful to those who have some kind of chemistry background. Whether or not they could be realistically used, I don't know. But I think as I write the story, I should be able to write out events well enough that a casual reader should feel like it was realistically portrayed. That's the goal, anyway.

It's alright, but the text is a bad scan of the original document, small, grainy, and has some kind of dirty background shadowing behind every word. I wish they would retype the text or edit the scans to get rid of that background grainy shadow.

A book full of old ways to make munitions alot is based on old army gear and things that most civilians aren't going to have access to enebt today so if your wanting to be naughty this is probly not going to be helpful but if you have a genuine interest in history and how things could be done by a lost soldier back in the day this can give a good incite
