RC390 pop rivet replacement
KTM charges $6.49 per rivet for the pop rivets that hold the fairings to the radiator scoop on the RC390. The OEM rivets shatter if you look at them funny and take some skill to remove and reinsert correctly, so it's pretty much certain that they'll break if you remove the fairings with any regularity. These retainers are less than 1% of the cost, and work much better than the OEM rivets. They are simpler to insert and feel much sturdier. And even if you are a club-swinging Neanderthal of a home mechanic who somehow breaks every retainer during removal, you can replace every retainer sixteen times for what just one OEM rivet costs and still have enough left over to ride your reassembled motorcycle to a fast food place and get an ice cream cone- gas and sales tax included!

Good quality
These are easy to use and are well worth the price. I even trimmed down the heads of several of these to use in my 1991 Chevy truck door panels. I would have paid a LOT more for application-specific fasteners, but these worked Great with just a little bit of trimming! After three decades, the old fasteners just break off. Keep some of these handy. It’s surprising how often I’ve needed them.

Great fasteners, I last used them to hold the fire barrier over the engine of my 2013 dodge ram 1500 when I broke a few of the original ones..Very handy to have around.
