Great Sized Stick Bag with Nice Storage
I purchased this bag to downsize from a Yamaha mallet bag that I had in college. It was really big, and honestly I just didn't need that much room to hold sticks. The compartments for your sticks are fairly snug, and spaced so that you don't get a ton of sticks in each slot. I view this as a good thing because it is easy to grab the exact stick you need if you drop one or have a quick stick change (maybe from a mallet to a stick). Plenty of extra pockets for keys, phone, pencils etc... although I will miss the larger mallet bag because I could just slide a full size notebook into it. This obviously won't allow it, but that would be like asking a dog to climb a tree. One of the neat features of this bag is that it actually has a small separate folded middle section that gives a little space to the bag when it's zipped up. This will help prevent your mallets from getting smashed up at the heads... it's a nice feature. The bag material feels pretty strong and looks like it will take a beating. As of this writing I haven't taken it out to a gig, but it will be tested soon enough. You know how those cheap nylon bags look and feel - they'll start fraying/pulling where they're stitched and eventually come apart. This Meinl bag should hold up much better. So yeah, I'll probably update this once get to road test it, but for the time being, it's holding my sticks well and feels solid... I'd be happy to recommend it to someone looking for a good quality stick bag at a great price! Best of luck to you all!

Best stick bag ever!!
I ordered this after the zipper and handle on my flimsy vic firth bag broke and it is SO MUCH BETTER! It was able to hold 2 pairs of marimba mallets, bass 5 mallets, 3 pairs of Marching sticks, 5 pairs of concert sticks, timp mallets, brushes, as well as all of the extra sticks I would pick up after my section of high school freshmen. There is a pocket on the inside for a pitch pipe, and smaller ones for pencils. The outside pocket was great for stick tape, a drum key, and girly essentials like Chapstick and hair ties. The handle is well made, and the strap is even better! On days when you're taking home text books, a coffee mug, lunch box and a uniform, the strap came in handy because it just went over your shoulder and by your side. I absolutely love this stick bag, it is SO well made and definitely worth the price. It was cheaper than my vic firth bag that fit less and broke after a year. I suggested it to my whole section. I used this bag all of senior year and it's coming to college this year. I am SO in love! This bag is great for beginners, or for pros. I love it.

Amazing Bag - Amazing Price
Since travelling with a performing group I have always been on the lookout for the perfect stick bag. I'll always have trouble calling something perfect because a truly perfect stick bag would carry all of the sticks that they sell, be as tough as a road case, as light a one pair of sticks, and would float mid air NEAR your floor tom... not quite possible even for the folks at Meinl. This bag has plenty of room for lots of sticks for the player who needs something for everything (I carry about 10 pairs of sticks, 2 sets of brushes and 2 sets of standard mallets). The bag's thickness is possibly one of its best features. It carries all of these with no problem at all. All finishes, the strap, handles, zipper, front pocket, inside pockets, and padding are quite high quality. All of them have lasted me for a few months and thats usually the threshold at which other bags have failed. I have carried a ProMark bag rigged with a duct tape loop instead of a strap clip and both DW and Zildjian bags that the top was open at all times due to zipper problems. I feel safe in saying that this bag will stand the test of time whether its in the hands of the music student, garage band player, local venue player, or even a traveling player. I am so glad I've found the bag for me at a price that won't make me cringe. This bag is easily the best for the money and very surely on the top of the shortlist of bags to consider when purchasing.

Fantastic stick bag, lots of room!
I bought this bag mainly based on the reviews from other users. Like others have said, the bag holds A LOT. The pocket on the outside is perfect for holding my in-ears headphone vault and the inside pocket is perfect for drum keys or other wrenches you may need. The stick pockets are great and easy to pull sticks from on the fly. I currently have 7 pairs of sticks, 2 pairs of rods, 1 pair of brushes, and 1 pair of soft mallets and there is still plenty of room for more! The bag appears to be made very well, heavy stitching, and great hardware make me believe this bag will last a very long time. The zippers are larger heavy duty style that won't bind or break very easily and It has hooks on adjustable straps to hang on a floor tom. Plus there are no metal rivets or grommets that will scratch your drum's finish.

Perfect for traveling to gig/session that calls for moderate variety of sticks
It’s my first stick bag so I don't have much basis for comparison, but I shopped around before choosing this one and I’m very satisfied with it. FEATURES: -SIZE/CAPACITY. Plenty of room for many pairs. Tall enough for any sticks I'd use. Thick enough for mallets. Not too big for most gigs (like those deluxe jumbo bags, which seem like they’re less for moderate gigging and more for home studio organization imo). -ORGANIZED. 4 different stick pockets (each holds at least 2 pairs) plus 3 pencil pockets and a small velcro pocket inside. Large velcro pocket outside. Pockets expand outward a good amount. -CARRYING. Handles on top. Adjustable shoulder strap (18”-34”) can attach at 3 different places for different carrying styles (see pics). -HANGS from lugs. Sling it from your floor tom for quick access during a gig. Hooks adjust between 8”-13.5” and attach about 2” below the top of the bag. -MATERIAL. Feels like durable canvas. Some bags are lined with soft felt or something fuzzy and sticks with cracks or chips will sometimes get caught sliding in and out. Not with this one—same material inside and out. Nothing that would harm a drum is present on the side that will make contact with the drum you hang it from. -FULL LENGTH DOUBLE ZIPPER. Main pouch zips up completely when folded so your sticks won’t fall out. Two pull tabs so you can open from top or bottom. -PRICE. Reasonably affordable price for any stick bag, so, considering the good features, this is a great value. CONS: -Shoulder strap buckles are plastic, unlike the metal ones pictured. -Though the stick slots are roomy enough, I’m still developing a “feel” for them. I mean that if I switch sticks during a quick pause or while drumming, I can grab the new sticks just fine without looking, but I often miss the pocket when trying to insert the pair I want to stash away. It feels like I’ve stuck it in there, but I let go only to hear the sticks dropping to the ground. Haha, not a reason to avoid this product, just something I’ve got to get used to. -Velcro pockets leave some room on the side where the Velcro doesn’t extend, so if you are being careless and toss your bag in the car sideways or something, a smaller item could find its way out of the pocket. OTHER THOUGHTS: -I thought I might occasionally stuff this into a backpack to reduce how many handles/straps/bags I’m carrying, but it’s really more of a carry-on-its-own kinda thing. It’s a little beefier than expected (though totally appropriate for its function) and may be too tall to fit in some backpacks comfortably. It’s still very portable and easy to travel with. BOTTOM LINE: -I think this bag is the best value for drummers needing to organize and travel with a moderate variety of sticks. Perfect for a studio sesh. You can def pack more in here than you’ll need for most gigs. -Consider choosing a SMALLER bag if you just want to have a backup pair or two handy (check out Meinl’s Compact or Vic Firth's Essentials) -Consider choosing a LARGER one if you need something to keep at home or in your studio to organize ALL the variety and duplicate pairs of sticks that you like keep a stock of. Or if you’re a beast of a session drummer or percussionist who needs to bring a ton of different sticks.

Great quality, holds many various instruments of this size (and drumsticks) as well as accessories.
Great bag! Cavernous! Adaptable for many instruments of this size. I use mine to hold my bagpipe practice chanter (with sole), various keys (sizes) of tin (penny) whistles, my knee size drum pad with strap, my metronome, and several pairs of drumsticks all at once. Though it can get heavy with that much in it, that is not the fault of the bag. It is well padded, protecting my various instruments and accessories well. I have traveled with it and it stood up to the rigors of travel with nary a blemish. Zippers are of good quality and open from both sides. Nice zipper pulls. The connections for connecting to a Tom drum seem like they will stand up to good use, though I have not tested that aspect as I use it mostly for transporting my supplies when I travel.

as advertised. would buy again
I really like this drumstick bag and I guess at least one other person did too since my previous bag of the same model was stolen from a gig. I purchased the same model bag because I like the quality of it as well as the various pockets / compartments. it works really well for my needs and would buy again.

AWESOME Stick Bag
I have to give this Stick Bag 5 Stars! I use this Stick Bag strictly for gigging, so it does get tossed around a lot, and does take a beating, but it can take it easily. The quality of the materials used can't be beat for the price. The zipper is heavy duty, plus it has two pulls which I think is great. My last bag I had only had one zipper pull which would constantly open up and my sticks would fall out in travel. With the Meini Stick bag with the two zipper pulls I'm able to zip the zippers to the middle of the bag, and there's no way of losing anything! It has enough pockets to keep an ample supply of sticks, plus smaller pockets to store a drum key, moon gel, extra felt washers, snare cord, etc. It also has everything that will allow you to open the bag and hook to a floor tom for easy access to your sticks while playing. It also has a long strap with buckles on each end so your able to carry the Stick Bag over your shoulder. Veteran drummer over 40 years playing, and I have to say this is the bag to get!!!
