Amazing leak detector. On the max sensitivity it doesn't have the false alarms I thought it, but using it can find eve tiny leaks, and then dialing it down I've been able to pinpoint every leak I found without even using bubbles. This is the best leak detector I've used so far under $500.

This an excellent detector. The filter in the tip is way to restrictive but a small pin hole in the filter fixes it

Just spend the money, you won't regret it if you do heating & air for a living. Comes with plenty of extra tips, and picks up some very small leaks that I was really not expecting it to. It is just a hair slower to react than some other cheaper meters like the Elitech, which I bought first because it was less than half the price, but that was for a reason: Overall build quality was lower (filter cover broke on the very first use..), and it would occasionally miss a leak that my peers would actually be able to pick up with the DR82.

First, this is an amazing leak detector! It's incredibly accurate and so easy to use; you can't beat it! 5 stars for the leak detector! Buuuut.... it happened to be sent to me with a complete set of European power adapters, but alas no US power adapter. Its covered by product support, so I called them to simply have them send the proper adapter that it should have came with, but NOOOOOOOO, Amazon can't do that, its too difficult a concept for their foreign customer service personnel to grasp. They have only one option memorized: just send it back and reorder it. And, if you've ever done such a thing, you know that A) you're simply gambling that the replacement item sent will be correct, and B) you can guarantee that you'll be paying more for the replacement item when you reorder it - a fact that they quite capably exposed me to just a few short weeks ago. Better still, you don't get your purchase funds refunded for up to a couple of weeks (hopefully) while you're paying the new amount for the replacement, so hopefully you have enough credit space on your account to cover this error. This resolution process is sophomorically stupid and unnecessarily costly. If they simply sent the silver dollar-sized part that it should have originally came with, it would only cost a matter of perhaps a dollar or two. Instead, they'd rather inconvenience their customer with the loss of the tool for at least a week, the customer picks up the new cost, and Amazon is now picking up an additional shipping bill which it will happily pass on to its customers.
