Works 98 percent of the time, limited range, dual band 2.4GHz/5.0GHz
Best alternative to Ethernet when unable to connect cable to your PC (desktop/laptop). Download the Driver Package and Install or Unzip, then Manually Search for the Driver. Afterwards remove the program and keep the Driver. Release date of the Linksys/Cisco AE2500 circa 2011. Able to get this for about $10. Have used it on my DIY build desktops, 2008, 2012, 2015, and 2017. Presently in use today as of December 3, 2024. I have 2 - AE2500's. Range from Modem/Router is roughly 20 meters or up to 80 feet. My experience is less than 30 feet with my computer setup/desk or distance from the Arris Modem-router. Yes! reason said 98 percent of the time its working, rarely on occasion have I lost the Wi-Fi signal in which believed should be blamed on Spectrum Internet cable serviced to my residency.
