In love!!!!!
I’m a tent camper with some ‘Barbie camper’ gadgets and an ice maker is one of them. I’m not a coffee drinker. I love an iced soda in the morning and throughout the day. So I bought this and am sooooo happy I did!!!! It’s quiet! It’s quick! It uses very little of my bluetti battery. I put the water in it and only let it run like four times enough to fill my cup with ice. It’s a big cup!! There are 8 ice cubes per run. The ice cubes last a long time in my cup. Then I’d power it down so it didn’t waste any more of my battery. It doesn’t refrigerate the ice after you make it. You have to use it right away or it’ll melt. Which is fine for me as that’d require the battery to go continuously. I love my ice maker!!! *in the pics this ice maker is in the corner of my tent raised up on a shoe shelf to keep it flat and off the ground

Awesome ice maker
Super awesome countertop ice maker! Easy set up and started making ice right away. It’s thin and barely takes up any counter space. In a few hours I had a filled my large ice container. The two different sizes of ice are great! My delivery was fast and just in time for a gnarly heat wave! Update: the suction cup that holds the scooper does not stay on - the movement of the ice dropping knocks it off. Plan to store it elsewhere or get a better suction cup.

Great Customer Service!!!
***UPDATE #2***Customer Service is EXCELLENT! I sent the information they needed and they are replacing the unit with the upgraded version. I don't have to send this one back, which is a major plus. Maybe I did get a lemon, but they're making lemonade for me and I could not be more pleased! ***UPDATE #1*** Unfortunately, after three months, the machine did what all the others have done - LOUD screeching and stopped making ice. It was cleaned weekly and only distilled water was used to make ice. I'm trying to get the company to back this product and we will see what happens. - - - - - - - - - This is my FOURTH ice machine! I've had the super expensive ones (twice) and this one is by far my favorite! It's a little loud but a small price to pay for ice that's as close to Sonic ice that you can get! Love it!

Great little ice maker
So I bought this on a whim when it wasn't hot out yet. I thought summer is coming and this might be quite handy. It works fine but I don't see it keeping up with a party. Well at least with as much ice cold water I drink. It did finally catch up to me and I was able to start putting some in the freezer. The down side is you will need an ice pick to separate them in the freezer because they are somewhat melty when you do freeze them. I am torn on whether it is worth the effort or not of filling the ice maker with water, babysitting it once in a while by clearing the ice from the eye when it gets blocked, and transferring the ice to the freezer. If you are in party mode, you would be taking care of things like this...maybe? Just food for thought. Other than that it does what it is supposed to do. Make ice.

Worth buying
Its Easy to use. 1st thing is to let it set upright for 24hrs. 2nd cleaning the ice maker machine. I used the ice maker cleaning tablets. I ran 6 cycles. Then drained and dried out the remaining and ran 2 more cycles to be on the safe side. Ice production speed is excellence. It makes noise when i ice is dispensing. You will know when the ice is ready the color comes out clear and hard bullet ice. Not mushy. I put some ice and my cup and pour cold water in my cup. It was super cold. Then i tried it with room temperature water bottle the members mark i get from yall know. And when i tell you that water got cold quick. Felt like it was in a stanley cup. I recommend you get this product. Its worth buying. It comes with scooper and holder. This was a best investment. I had a previous ice maker that i dont know whats wrong with it. It was also good but the bullet ice was hard and sometimes soft. Im glad i got this one for a replacement. 10 out of 10 The only issue i might have is that the sticker at the top is lumpy. I dont know what all that is about. Im talking about where it has the small/large on/off that part.

Great ice maker
Great machine, fast and decently quiet. The ice falling is about as loud as it gets and that’s a great notification the ice has been dropped.

makes great ice but screen is a pain in the ***
Product is great , makes good solid ice .. However there is a tiny plastic screen that goes in where you put the water that wont stay in place and requires a smaller hand to put in . The ice does stick together a little bit after you stick it in the freezer but breaks up easy.

As good as this approach gets
I bought this countertop ice maker because our fridge version had stopped working right when the weather first started to get warm and we needed more ice on hand. It is a fine example of the genre — reliable, quiet, etc. and I would recommend this item AS LONG AS YOU UNDERSTAND THE MANY LIMITATIONS IN HOW THIS MACHINE — and all others like it — ACTUALLY WORK. 1. They do NOT keep cubes that have fallen into the bin cold. That means these cubes will start to melt almost immediately unless you transfer them to a freezer ASAP. 2. This unit makes just 9 cubes at a time. It takes about an hour to process all the water you’ve put in if you fill it to the “Max Fill” line. 3. The first 1-2 batches of cubes are always undersized, esp. the very first one. That’s because it takes a cycle of two for the workings to become cold enough to produce full-size cubes. 4. Because the cubes are formed around little rods, all the cubes have holes in the center. This makes them melt a lot faster in drinks, etc. than regular cubes from a fridge ice maker, etc. 5. Because newly made cubes need to be removed ASAP, making ice requires you be around and vigilant for the full hour+ it takes to process all the water. 6. One “Max Line” cycle produces enough ice to just half-fill your typical refrigerator ice maker bin. I’m retired and these processing / output issues aren’t that big of a deal for me. But if you have a busy life / family, you may not be able to babysit the process so easily and should bear that in mind before buying. Anyone thinking this is a great solution for parties should also be aware that someone needs to tend to the process — and that you should probably make as much of your needed ice ahead of time. I personally always use the “Large” cube setting, fill to the Max line, and then toss the first batch or two into the sink. Once the cube-making gets acceptable, I transfer to the freezer every two cycles (or 18 cubes), and try to shake out every drop of accumulated water from the bin beforehand — because the wetter the cubes are, the more likely they are to lock into big clumps in the freezer. In summary, this Silonn Ice Maker is a fine example of the genre. I am happy overall with it, and it has certainly provided a grateful us with enough ice to get us through the weeks, etc. It’s just that the genre itself is rife with limitations that aren’t immediately apparent, so I hope this detailed review will prove helpful to others.

You will be delighted you bought this! Life changing!
I am so happy I got this ice maker! I moved to the UK from California, and not having a plumbed-in fridge with a built in ice-maker is something I've found difficult. I know, I sound spoiled! But for me, I feel like ice should not that big of a luxury. Making drinks with maybe 3 ice cubes, to conserve the number of cubes in the tiny little trays (which crack, leak, and do not give up their ice without smashing them on the counter!) is a disappointment I no longer need to endure. The key point to this machine is: it works. It makes ice, and I'm getting plenty of use out of it. I fill up large zip lock bags with ice cubes to store in my freezer, and then I wipe her down and store her away. I have managed to find space in a cupboard in my tiny kitchen, as obviously storage is an issue. This isn't something I want on my counter permanently. That said, it is rather beautiful. I have to say the matt black finish is sleek. And, I am delighted there is a handle! Great design feature, since it does have some weight to it, and moving it in and out of the cupboard is far easier with handle access. Here's how it works: 1. You have to have it sit upright for 24hours before you use it. I think something to do with the anti-freeze and having it delivered. 2. Then, you clean it - which is super easy. Just wipe it all down and dry. 3. You open the lid and fill water to the fill line (I use filtered water to avoid lime-scale build up) 4. You position the basket inside the machine and close the lid. 5. There is an obvious ON button. And you can choose the size of the ice, Small or Large. It's digital, you press the button and it lights up green. 6. Then, you wait. The machine will make ice. When the basket is full, it automatically stops production. 7. You empty the basket, and the machine will resume making ice with the remaining water. 8. A light will come on when you need to add more water. Because the machine stops making ice when the basket is full, you can't leave this running overnight or unattended if you are intending on making lots of ice. Also, the ice will start to melt while it sits in the basket, albeit slowly. There is no alarm beep to advise that the basket is full, as far as I have experienced. It is kind of noisy, but you know, it's making ice, so that's expected. I don't find it overly loud. I have it on right now and it's not bothersome. It sounds quieter than the standing fan I have blowing. As other reviewers have noted the ice size is rather small. I have only ever put it on the Large setting because I can't imagine the point of having smaller ice than the "large" size it makes. I suppose I should try just to see! I haven't bothered up until now. Overall I am SO happy I have this machine. It is easy to use in every aspect. I consider it an excellent investment, and am thrilled I bought it. I don't even remember what I paid for it, but it's worth it! I can make ice-tea whenever I want, with loads of ice! I can make a proper G&T with half a glass full of ice! YES! Summer is so much more delightful with ice. I'd say that although this is heavy, it is portable in terms of the size. You could pack this in your car if you are going on vacation in the UK. You could loan it to a friend! Highly recommend. PS, you won't usually find me leaving reviews with this much detail. I just put my ice-maker on today and I thought: everyone needs to know about this! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Sehr zufrieden

Junk, doesn't work
I used this ice maker according to the instructions. The ice melts before you can even use it! The ice is so small even on the large ice setting - see my photo. The seller offered a refund, I accepted, but they didn't give the refund and now don't reply to my messages. Don't waste your money on this item.
