If you're using Rubio and looking for a suitable applicator, this is pretty good for that. It's not hard and doesn't sand or polish the surface. It doesn't absorb much of the oil either. It just helps push around and get into the tighter spots. I prefer this over rags especially when doing vertical or inverted applications. I dip this into the cup of oil and then apply to the wood. The pads cut with scissors easily so you can make whatever shape or size you like. They don't really shed much either. I'll catch a loose fiber here and there, but for the most part it stays together. For reference I finished about 60 sf and used 1 pad for all of it. Overall, works well for Rubio and would recommend.

Great for cleaning windows when tinting

I needed to buff in some Rubio Monocoat hardwax finish into my desk I had just built. Rubio recommended hand buffing the finish in but as they say "ain't nobody got time for that"... especially on a 9' long desk. I found these disks available and they fit perfectly on my Dewalt sander. The finished product came out fantastic. It is a one time use sort of thing, though, so once the wax starts to cure, you gotta chuck the pads. I appreciated these inexpensive pads for that reason too.
