Review: Heart touching and moving! - I have no words for this beautiful book. Written so well. It made me cry, twice! Must read, highly recommend! Review: poignant and emotional - Reminders of Him is a poignant and emotional story of redemption, forgiveness and love. Colleen Hoover delivers a powerful and realistic portrayal of a young mother who struggles to rebuild her life after prison and reconnect with her daughter. The characters are flawed and complex, and their journey is full of challenges and heartache. I was invested in Kenna and Ledger's relationship, which was sweet and supportive, but also faced a lot of obstacles and judgment. The book also explores the themes of guilt, grief, family and friendship, and how they affect the choices we make. The writing is beautiful and captivating, and the dual timeline adds suspense and depth to the story. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is that I felt that the ending was too rushed and unrealistic. I also thought that some of the sex scenes were unnecessary and detracted from the emotional impact of the story. I would have liked to see more development of Kenna's bond with her daughter and less focus on her physical attraction to Ledger. Overall, this was a moving and memorable read that touched my heart and made me cry. I recommend it to fans of Colleen Hoover and contemporary romance.

An emotional roller-coaster ride
Every once in a while, comes along a book that shakes you to your very core, makes you ruminate on it and will forever be etched in your heart. This evocative and emotional gem of a book is all of the above. What happens when you feel yourself responsible for the death of someone dearest to you? What happens when you serve a 5 year sentence for the same? What happens when you are not allowed to take one look at the daughter you delivered? What happens when you come back to the same people for redemption? What really happens? This is the story of Kenna, a mother wanting to right a wrongdoing done in her past, wanting to make amends and move forward in life. She meets Ledger along the way and how he becomes her ally, cares for her and helps her get back to her daughter, Diem, despite him being in an unfathomable situation is wonderful. Kenna is one of the most beautifully penned female character I’ve ever read. She is kind, beautiful, strong and resilient carrying the burden of guilt around her. Her yearning to have a glimpse of her child she's never seen, be a part of her life, to be forgiven is so painful and heartbreaking. And her letters to Scotty, what do I say! I have never bawled my eyes out so much while reading. They are raw and gut-wrenching and also extremely endearing the way she writes to him about every little thing in her life. Writing to him is cathartic to her and it is these very letters that bring back her happiness. Ledger is real and the way he struggles with the dilemma of helping Kenna and being loyal to Scotty’s parents is beautifully narrated. You are unsure whether to hate him or love him. His relationship with Diem is filled with tender moments and his parents are a hoot. My emotions were yo-yoing between sadness and sheer happiness. I am in awe of this author. The way she portrays imperfect people and makes us empathize and root for them is brilliant writing. A must read if emotions and words are your poison.

An emotional roller coaster....but a 5 star read
Reminders of him For so long i want a redemption of a woman in all the books we usually reads about how a man changed with the right girl and it changes course of his life, But when I read this book the character building of Kenna is so amazing from the 1st chapter you started feeling her pain...and not only gets every charcters pain As we saw them to get over the tragic incident happens to scotty and Ledger being that ideal perfect men who completes all the imperfections Collen hoover is my favourite author of all time since I read It ends with us She can destroy us from the start and make the damage to be there throughout the book....... After that there's a plot twist which u can't imagine u can survive or surpass Still u put yourself to complete the book and omg the happy endings🥹🥹🥹

Moving.
This is such a fun read. I will make my wife read it. The first quarter of the book is simply superb. There are so many emotions attached. As a parent I was able to relate to it even more. And the love angles, oh my word! they were well done. The writing is fluid as the author makes the reader fall in her web. She is quite a master of it. This is my first book by the author. If her other books are 80% as good, I think we have a winner. one last thing, it is incredible to do a meaningful novel and actually make the reader relate to you. This is not easy at all. very few books manage to do this without sounding conceited ... alas this is one such book that will move almost everyone. If you like this book and want something that is one or two levels above try "invisible life of addie laure" Have fun!

Sad sad story
I didn't know what I was getting into when I started this...i frankly thought this was a suspense novel and it took me 3 chapters to understand that this is a sad love story... By the time I was done with 3 chapters i was too invested in the characters to give it up... The book is so sad it made me tear up at almost every page and by the time I was done with this book my eyes were swollen... though it cud have been becoz of lack of sleep lol... It's so sad...that even though i knew the ending would be a happily ever after ..it just failed to turn things around... The plot is not new...but the characters are all too good to exist in reality... Post 5yrs of servicing a prison sentence for involuntary manslaughter for the accidental death of her boyfriend...Kenna returns to the same town to win her daughter back from the grand parents... And falls for the handsome best friend of the dead boyfriend... somewhere i was sort of hoping things weren't the way they were discribed...i wanted there to be some kind of crazy reason/ deliberate ..i wanted a villain...very childish...but still... I wish I had not picked this book without reading what it was abt...it's an ok read... Frankly I'm more into reading things that give me some kind of inspiration...not some love story kind of a person...i enjoy light reading ... romantic comedies..but not romantic tragedies...they irritate me.. But to be fair...it's not a bad book...just a sad one.

So beautiful and heart wrenching
Reminder of Him is the classic Colleen Hoover book with all the elements that makes her books such a beautiful and amazing read. There were moments in the book where I sobbed my heart out and moments that made me smile with joy too. Reminders of Him is the heartwarming and tear jerking tale of Kenna. Kenna, who is everything you would expect and still not expect at all. She is innocent, a little naive, jaded and lost. Kenna is someone who will get into your heart and just tear it apart because of whatever she had to face. She is someone who was always at the receiving end of all sorts of misfortunes and you just cannot help but want a win for her. Her character layers are explored in a manner that will make you root for her with everything you have. Well Ledger is the perfect prince charming or knight in shining armor for her. He is everything amazing, in fact perfect of Kenna. I love the way he stood for her and believed in her. His protective instincts and the way he wanted to make everything perfect for her was just so swoon worthy. If I had any problem, it was the almost instant way they both fell in love, it felt a little rushed to me and the ending, the sudden way everything was tied up. It was all very sweet. I don't know, maybe I would have liked a little more conversation, a little more emotions to be explored at the end. Reminders of Him is a beautiful book. Just one of those reads that will leave you with a smile.

Heartwrenching story with the right amount of sweetness
At this point I'm not surprised I love another CoHo's book. She is the only author who never fails to drop fantastic emotional reads that grab your gut and keep you on the edge until the very end. And as you imagine, reminders of him is that type of book. Reminds of him follows Kenna Rowan's journey, a woman who has been in prison for the last 5 years and comes back to the hometown where everything started to go get her daughter. As you imagine, Kenna's life isn't as easy as before, so she has to face lots of struggles on her path. Trust me when I tell you you will be in pain knowing her story and everything she faces, but as always with CoHo, all the tears will be worthy when you get in the end. Kenna has officially become one my favorite heroines ever for so many reasons. She is strong, kind and the most selfless person out there. It's unbelievable how kind-hearted she is. Im so happy she has got the ending she deserves because as I said, she deserves nothing but the best. Then we have our hero Ledger. All you need to know is that at first you will want to p*nch him, but he redeems himself with all the little things he does for Kenna and Diem. His connection with Kenna is precious and their chemistry is fire. The ANGSSSST these two experience is unbelievable, okay? It's painful but so damn good. Now on the other hand we have all these incredible side characters. I love everyone honestly, but specially Lady Diana and Roman, i mean how couldn't I? They were the only reason I was laughing hard after all the tears I have shed. I wish Colleen explored their side romance storylines, but I understand she had to focus in the main plot. The ending was beautiful and there was the happy for now the characters deserved, yet I wish there was a couple more chapters to see Kenna being a mom and more happy scenes of her after everything she lived. But hey, Im really grateful Colleen got back into writting emotional stories because personally they are my favorite from hers. This was another delightful read with all the emotions that will rip your heart out and the right amount of sweetness that Colleen writes as no other. If you take any recommendations from me, please trust me with this one. You won't regret it!!!
