The Perfect Helmet for Roller Skating - Style, Comfort, and Safety!
I recently got the TRIPPLE EIGHT NYC helmet to match my Sure Grip skates and my company TRIP8S streetwear brand in the Philippines , and itโs been a game-changer! The helmet's design with a black exterior and red interior looks sleek and matches my gear perfectly. But itโs not just about looksโthis helmet delivers on comfort and safety. The integration of high impact EPS foam with dual-density soft foam and plush Sweatsaver fabric is top-notch. Itโs the first and only helmet I've found that offers this level of comfort with dual-certified protection. Plus, no more worrying about rental helmet sweatโthis oneโs all mine! If youโre serious about skating and want the best protection with style, the TRIPPLE EIGHT NYC helmet is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Crash tested
Iโve gotten multiple compliments on this helmet while riding my scooter โ it has a clean, sleek look that stands out in a good way. More importantly, it has been crash tested in the real world. Someone opened a car door in front of me, and I went down hard, head hitting the pavement at around 15โ20 mph. I walked away without head injuries, and Iโm incredibly grateful for that. I canโt promise it will protect everyone the same way, but it protected me when I needed it most, and thatโs enough for me to trust it. The fit is slightly adjustable, though I wish it had a bit more range. Overall, stylish, confidence-boosting, and something Iโm happy to keep using.

Fantastic Helmet for its price
Great helmet, perfect fit and high quality. Really happy with my purchase, amazing for the price. Super easy to use and adjust, it fits snuggly on my head and is very comfortable. Itโs already saved me a few times so it was definitely worth it. Love the look of the green and gray too.

Snug Fit
I was weary after reading some reviews about the sizing. I made sure to measure myself and then my girlfriend measured my head. We measured roughly one inch above my eyebrows and my head was 23.25 inches in "diameter". So, I ordered the X-large and when I first put it on, I have to say it was quite snug. I thought it was too snug at first and it was sitting too low on my head. I was disappointed to see that there were no thinner pads to exchange for the fatter pads inside the helmet, plus the straps around your ears DO NOT adjust like the video shows. After putting it on a few times, it seemed to get less snug and I put the helmet on so that it was about one inch above my eyebrows. When I did this, it felt better and my ears weren't being bent down at the tips. I'm going to keep this helmet, because I feel it will work well and it will "break in" over a few uses. I' still wish they included the thinner pads like the video shows. Pictures hopefully show the "fit", lack of room for ears, and the re's enough room to wear glasses. Sorry about the unshaven face, but I'm still dealing with a sunburn and I don't want to shave just yet.

Great helmet for skating
I bought this helmet as a back up so I would have to haul my main helmet across the country all the time. It is quality and comfortable. I got the 2x due to a large head and it is almost too small. It will be about right after break in but itโs comfortable. If you need a larger one, check out the same design for their sister company 187 killer pads. Their 2x is slightly larger with the same interior comfort.

3 year old approved. Great quality and fit.
I purchased this style helmet to replace the traditional bicycle helmet style because (1) I think they are a pain to fit and stay on a 3 year old (2) My 3 year old daughter typically does not like anything on her head (so I was hoping this helmet would be a winner) I like this helmet a lot because it has a soft inner cushion and even though the size I purchased was slightly larger than my daughters head, it still fits nicely. Most importantly, she will wear it and likes it. Just take a tape measure and run it around your kids head and find the right size based on the chart. I went with plain black so that she could paint it or sticker it up if she wants. She is mainly riding a scooter and practicing on a balance bike, however due to the shape and design of this helmet, I will continue to buy her a new size as needed for years to come. If this makes sense - when she wears the helmet, it just looks right. I kick myself for not getting this earlier. My perception, whether right or wrong is that this is a superior helmet and would protect her from any fall. If she starts getting into some extreme kid biking, maybe I'll look for something else. Note this helmet is rigid, it's not a rubbery bendable helmet. By the way - a huge plus is that if your kid drops it, it won't break (like the Styrofoam on 3 prior "bicycle" helmets did).

Best available helmet
disclaimer: this is my son's helmet and this is a vicarious review based on his use and my impressions of it. I have a Protec helmet that I love but I am tempted to get a Triple 8 for the cool factor and the sweatsaver liner. The good: snug yet comfortable fit and looks very chill. The sweatsaver liner is awesome and fits well without chafing or annoyance. The liner also helps the helmet stay in place better. My son was wearing a crappy bicycle-style helmet that always slipped up on his head exposing his forehead. He hit a curb on his scooter and planted his forehead on the handlebars. If he had this helmet, he would not have needed 13 stitches to close a very deep cut. Double-bonus on the fit. The bad: none I can tell after 2 months solid use. The neutral: stickers have a hard time sticking to the helmet long-term because of the rubbery surface of the helmet. The stick initially but over time tend to work off at the edges. This can be good-- I need new stickers!-- or bad-- aaawww, but I liked that sticker!:(. Recommendation: do it! looks great, feels great.

Best bike helmet I've had yet. Lightweight, very comfortable, and those 2 holes in front... serve a purpose
I got a free cheap styrofoam-with-plastic-coating bike helmet from the NYC Parks Department (google that if you want), but I promptly lost it after about 2 months. This helmet is MUCH better obviously, just as sturdy, and without all that styrofoam crap cradled next to my head. This is a hard rubber shell with soft padding underneath it. Not the typical black velcro stuff on cheap bike helmets. This is much more comfortable and thicker padding that comes between you and the rubber shell. There are two holes in front, in back, and a series of small holes on top of the helmet, which circulates air in there and keeps your head cool. It's worked great so far. Best thing though: since I bought the white one, I kinda feel like a Star Wars rebel soldier (remember the ones on Princess Leia's ship?)... but i'm a geek like that. PS: MEASURE YOUR HEAD, dummy. BEFORE you buy. DON'T GUESS YOUR SIZE. The Amazon listing I clicked on had a measuring chart in the listing copy. Find a dressmaker's measure or paper tape and measure your head. Look for that before you choose your size.

Good tight fit and good looking helmet!
Good fitting helmet that stays in place. The sweat saver band helps to absorb sweat and can be removed for washing and drying for hygiene purposes. Recommended!
