I ordered 38 engraved dog tags from a different company for my various animals, including a cow, donkeys, horses, goats. The rings that came with the tags were so thin and weak, the tags came off the collars in a matter of weeks. Once the tags were found in the grass, I ordered these stainless steel rings. Six months later and not a lost tag. The rings don't rust, are attractive and are a perfect size for pet collars & dog tags. Beware, they are so sturdy, it is difficult to pull apart to get the name tag on. I used a butter knife to pull the coil apart.

Seems to be of decent quality. Cannot vouch yet for the marine non-corrosion properties. Once you spread it open to go around something it does NOT spring back tight all the way. It stays slightly open which is a negative but in my case it will still work. I’ll try something different next time.

Not cheap but exactly what I wanted — a key ring that would "open" up like typical steel rings. It looks about an inch or just under in diameter, perfect size. I can fit my finger inside if I want to pull open a door without grabbing the door handle. I'm a creative super genius but also a germaphobe (many of us brilliant people are) so that's the reason for pulling doors open with a key ring. The usual key rings are flimsier and expand and lose their shape. Not this guy. I can't comment on the magnetism or whether it's truly stainless steel, but it looks well-made and has a minimalistic style to it. Ideally, it would be a bit cheaper than $5.72 plus HST but that's capitalism and I couldn't find a cheaper alternative that looked this well made.
