GOLD LEAF JINHAO 35 Series Fountain Pen (Matte Black, Fine Nib 0.5mm)

Once you write with this pen, it is difficult to like any other pen. I recently bought a Kaweco which is 5 times costlier than this, but if I would have known this pen by then, I would not have bought the Kaweco. Because this pen is just amazing. Flow of ink is sufficient and not too much to leave a smudge. I got one with a fine nib and it really is fine. The pen has a balanced weight because of its metal body, but never feels too heavy on hand for longer writing sessions. It does come with the converter so worry free filling of ink unlike the costlier German versions where we need to get the converted separately. Writing is smooth, doesn't need any pressure on the nib. Makes the writing more effortless. Within this price this aesthetics, nib, flow of ink and over all quality is just perfect. If you are planning, please go ahead with this, there is no regret absolutely.

Arrived on time. Quality of the make is good. There's some issue with the flow of the ink. On day one there's stop in ink flow three times. It writes smoothly otherwise. Overall the quality and smoothness is better than parker, which I used previously

I really wanted to like this fountain pen—the design is sleek and looks great on my desk. It feels decent in hand at first, though after writing for a few minutes, I noticed finger fatigue setting in. It’s not terrible, but it’s not comfortable for extended use. Now, the real issue: the nib is terrible. It dries out incredibly quickly, sometimes mid-sentence. I constantly have to flick or shake the pen to get the ink flowing again, which is incredibly frustrating. Writing should be smooth and effortless, not a battle with your pen every few words. Nothing kills the joy of using a fountain pen faster than a nib that just won’t cooperate. For the price, I expected something reliable and enjoyable—not a constant hassle. My advice? Save yourself the trouble. Skip this one and just get a basic Parker. You’ll spend the same amount, but you’ll actually want to use it.

Writes really well, smooth right from the first go. Smooth nib and ink flow. Feels good to hold. Ideal size . A little on the wetter side but i like it. A worthy budget pen for every day use.

Decent product. Love the form factor of the pen body. Fully metallic and thin with matte black finish. But it is mess to get it start writing after kepping idle for some time. Even with the cap closed. Using extra fine tip variant and may be the reason for quick drying. The matte finish coating comes off easily. So needs to be more careful. Or scrape off the coating completely and use in the steel finish. Still i bought second piece. Only thin elegant option for this gemetry of nib in this price range. Also availability in extra fine variant.

I'd you want a pen that isn't too expensive, looks simple and does it's job really well, this is a good starting place. The pen is the perfect size if you're looking for something comparable to a ball pen on terms of length and weight. It's not too thick so it fits in most handsome really comfortably. It holds the regular 40 ML of ink that most coverters hold so you can get cancelled easy 30-40 pages of writing in before needing a refill. The nib itself was smooth and easy to write with right out of the box and needed no tuning.

Loved the quality, build of the pen. Writing is far superior and if you compare with entry level Parker series - it beats. Wonderful grip, weight, finish and very smooth writing experience.
