Not for Class AB type stereo with warm sound lovers.
PCB quality is good and very compact. The board layout looks neat and modern, with proper inductors, capacitors, and a solid heatsink design. It feels well built for a budget Class-D amplifier, but since it’s compact, handle it carefully while connecting wires and DC jacks to avoid stressing the terminals. Bluetooth signal reception inside the room is stable with good connection range. No noticeable dropouts during normal use. Pairing is smooth and works reliably for daily listening. Sound quality is pure and very clear. There is no humming or background noise. Stereo separation is wide and controlled. Compared to older Class-AB boards like LA4440, this Class-D amp delivers more power with better clarity and tighter bass control. The output feels clean and confident even at medium to high volumes. Heat management is impressive even after running for several hours around 60–70% volume, the heatsink only becomes mildly warm and the board remains stable. Overall, this amplifier offers strong performance for the size and price. It may not have the warm character of old Class-AB designs, but it delivers clean, controlled, and efficient sound with solid power output. Good choice for DIY audio builds and bookshelf speaker setups. *Important* At 19.5V (Laptop Power Adaptor) with a 4Ω load, the TPA3116D2 board can deliver roughly 40 ~ 45 watts per channel in clean peak output, with practical continuous music power around 25–35 watts. In my setup, clipping starts only around 72–75% volume, which indicates the amplifier is reaching its normal voltage limit or the 40W speaker is approaching its mechanical or thermal limit. This is expected behavior and shows the system is properly matched. usual 60% listening level, the amp is operating safely below its maximum capability, with low distortion and minimal heat, so there is no sign of electrical stress.
