Outstanding phone for cord cutters
I have owned Panasonic cordless phones for decades. They are always my first brand of choice when upgrading my phone system.Recently, I got rid of my landline phones. It would be much cheaper to rely on my cellphone. However, I also wanted the convenience of talking on a handset. The great thing about this cordless phone system is its ability to connect to up to 2 cell phones. Once connected, it works rather well, though there are minor downsides.First, you need to place the Panasonic base unit next to where you will keep your cell phone. Since the connection is Bluetooth, there isn't much distance to play with and both units will need to be close to communicate with each other. You can certainly take your cell phone with you when traveling outside of your home, but once you return, you will need to place it near the Panasonic base unit again where the Bluetooth connection will re-establish itself automatically. There is a setting on the Panasonic phone that puts it in "cellphone only" mode. This gets rid of the constant message that appears on the screen that indicates you are not connected to a landline.Making calls on the handset while connected to your cellphone isn't quite as fluid as I had hoped, but it works well. You need to dial the number you want, press the CELL button beneath the screen, and then there is a brief pause and a few beeps until the phone connects.Cell phone quality is excellent. There is no breakup, no crackling. The only issue I found is that the overall volume level could be a bit better. I had the volume turned all the way up on the handset and thought that it still could have been louder. Then again, I am over 60 years old and my hearing isn't as good as it used to be.Caller ID information is transferred from your cell phone to the Panasonic handset, and a voice will not only announce the caller but also inform you when a text message is being sent to your phone and who is sending it.You can also transfer your entire phonebook from your iPhone to the main handset and it will propagate to all the other handsets in your home. The only issue I had with this was I ended up with 200 phone entries and found the search capabilities on the handset to be lacking. I erased all the entries and ended up manually entering the top 10 contacts I mostly dial. The build quality of these phones is excellent and though Panasonic has a newer model for 2024, I bought these for the DECT 6.0 capability which gives you more range and has better Amazon reviews than the newest cordless system.Anyone looking to save money and drop their landline service should be looking into this phone system. I had considered going VOIP but that requires a monthly subscription. With just your cell phone placed nearby, this entire cordless system will provide you with household phone access with no extra fees outside of your wireless phone plan. It's just short of being the perfect solution, and by that I mean there is a slight inconvenience in not having a dial tone or an immediate dial, but there is only a few seconds of delay to dial outbound. I also think the volume could be better, but it's good enough for these older ears to deal with.

Great solution for our cellphones
We purchased this as a way to be able to hear and answer our cellphones throughout the house. We don’t have a land line but use the “link to cell feature for our 2 cellphones. We can answer our calls from any of the handsets throughout the house.

Best Sitting on Counter
We purchased this phone because I like the looks of this system and it has 5 handsets plus the features of each handset (ring volume, call block and able to pick the sound you want, back lit). When you're in different areas of the home and can't get to the main phone, there's one nearby. For instance, downstairs in our family room and one by bedside being woke up at different hours. Also, if working different shifts and might be sleeping, nice to have one by bed that you can choose to turn handset volume clear down if needed (Nice). I also like a phone with the main unit hanging on the wall in kitchen. This unit said you could hang it as well as listing it as a counter phone, however you might want to check it out before purchasing it. It's made mainly as a counter phone (in my opinion.) Said it can be used as wall unit also but if you want to hang the base it sticks straight out from wall (4.5 inches) and you cannot see the displays on the phone unless you walk over and look at it, not a good idea! We ended up sitting it on our counter which I was trying to avoid. Would rather have it hang on wall out of the way. The phone unit is nice but if you're looking to hang it then you better check it out further because it does not work very well hanging on a wall. The base sticks straight out and not flat against the wall..

Works well for 3-story house
Good functional system with enough headsets for a large house. Replaces an older Panasonic system. Especially like the Call Blocking feature. A few peculiarities, hopefully solvable with study of owner's manual.

Great phone system.
This will be my third Panasonic wireless phone system. It was easy to setup and the instructions are clear and understandable. I also bought the range extender and this was also easy to pair to the base unit, and then move to a location in the house. One Con. There is no way to transfer your call list from the old Panasonic phone system to the new. Unfortunately you have to re-enter everything manually. (I did search for this, and that was Panasonics reply).

VERY POOR SOUND QUALITY
This purchase turned out to be a mistake. After just a few weeks the sound quality went into the toilet! Actually every call sounded like the person was under water and the person also complained that I sounded like I was under water. I expected much more from Panasonic, so I went back to the previous brand, just a newer model that blocks SPAM calls. It was also very difficult to set up, but from what I have read on other reviews, almost all the new phones are difficult to set up. (You would think that the companies would figure out a way to make the set-up more user friendly.)

4th edition for us
This item replaced a previous Panasonic phone system which lost its ability to recharge the batteries after around 8 years of regular use. We're pleased with the Panasonic quality and have always replaced our cordless phones (and microwaves) with this brand. I do not know what the "lock feature" is that I'm requested to rate. Sound quality is fine and the number of handsets for the money makes a good value. Hopefully, we'll get 8 or more years out of this model as well.
