Does the 2017 version come with neck strap? Is the case too large for carrying on a belt?

I don't have the 2017 model. I have a 2014 model with a neck strap and not to large to carry on a belt.

The 10x25 binoculars are 0.79lb while these (8x25) are 1.15lb...should l worry about the difference in weight? Does light = cheap/low quality? Thanks
