Safe for gas grills? Description says yes, got my order today and instructions say not to use on gas grill?!?

I used this mat for gas grill. The mat got small hole by gas.

The current photos have the barcode cut off but it says made in china right below it.

What is the difference between the gold vs black?

As of right now, black is all that is offered and it is a mesh mat.

I don’t have a micro-caliper, but they are about the thickness of a thick napkin, but perforated. Mesh.
