Review: AWESOME PRODUCT - I am really impressed by this product and think I have found the product that can keep me off of regular tobacco for good. I have tried many products, jerky chew, mint chew, etc. Jerky chew was good but always to dry for me and wound up hurting my lip and gums more than regular dip. Mint chew, although I don't doubt it is natural, always wound up burning my gums, or at least having a high burn sensation and was almost always rock hard regardless of what I tried and also would wind up cutting up my lip and gums and was a serious pain. At first I admit I wasn't too hot on the idea of coffee grounds. I love coffee, but the idea of coffee grounds didn't appeal to me especially being a military veteran and having direct experience of dipping actual coffee grounds when out on deployment. BAD EXPERIENCE! Cowboy Coffee Chew is really nice though. It is not bitter black coffee nor is it extremely sweet Cafรฉ au lait. They have managed to find what I would call a very happy medium that just taste d@mn good to be honest. PRO: Great taste and although it does start hard it quickly warms and is easily pouched into the gum just like regular tobacco. For those of us who need the feeling of dip rather than the tobacco addiction this will be a great product for you. Price is honestly a pro and a con. I bought three cans initially to test the product and it cost me $20.00. On a repeat basis it would not be worth buying 3 cans for $20.00 when I can buy three cans of regular tobacco for slightly less. However on the pro side, once I tried I immediately decided to go online and buy more and I bought the 12 can pack for $50.00. That is twice the amount of regular tobacco for the same price! CON: Coffee can be extremely hard cold. I live up north and so if you if you are in any cold environment and have left the can open to environmental temperature it will be damn near unusable. At normal room temperature though this is really not a concern I think and if you keep in your pocket your normal body heat will keep it warm and easily usable. It will be stickier and harder than normal tobacco regardless but hey I accept that. Another poster talked about the coffee grounds coming loose in your mouth as a major turnoff. Personally I question if this person has actually ever really dip'd or chewed because that is just a natural occurrence regardless. To my mind fine chew is harder to pack than long cut chew but it something any dipper should be used to. With the Coffee shew this is basically the same to me. Price as mentioned above can be expensive but once you try and decide you like, buy the 12 pack and you are getting a great deal. Review: Works great. Will be buying more! - I bought a couple cans of this chew after being recommended to give it a try. Ive been trying to kick the habit this seemed to fit the bill since I dont care for most the herbal type dips out there. Five bucks a can seemed expensive but after working through a can of it Id have to say its cheaper than picking up coffee from starbucks every morning and it tastes great. The Coffee Chew tastes like a cup of coffee with creamer and some sugar. The Honey in the chew makes it nice and sweet, I really like the flavor. The consistency of it is more like a stiff goo but its soft enough that you can roll it in your fingers into something similar to a snuff packet. It does break down as the honey dissolves in your mouth and pieces of coffee grinds float around in your mouth but they can easily be swallowed. You dont need to spit or toss the dip as it juices or breaks down just eat it. I really like this product and plan on buying more of it soon. The only downside I really have with this product is that I cant find it at gas stations or local shops. The only place I can seem to find it is here on desertcart or on the company website, I would really love to see this availible at my gas station down the road or at Walmart.

You're better off just packing your lip with ground coffee, cheaper and easier
So I got this stuff as an alternative to the Snus I am currently using because I know its bad for me. I had currently tried another ouch tobacco replacement and didn't like that so i figured I should move on to the next thing. This got a lot of good reviews so I figured I could give it a shot. Firstly, I definitely should have explored the photos better because I had no idea when I received it that it would basically be a hockey puck in a tin. I opened up the first tin and was instantly confused because seeing the title of the item I thought it would be pouches. I was instantly disappointed when i saw that it wasn't but I figured I would still give it a shot because I really want to kick the Snus. So I tried to pull a pinch. This took about 5 minutes because I had to use my nails to pull a piece off then roll it between my fingers till I got a piece that would be shaped enough to approximate a pouch. Complaint number two, it left my fingers sticky and covered in grounds. I stuck it in my lower lip and let it sit. This led to the only positive thing, I actually really liked the taste. But as it sat in my lip it started to dissolve the honey leaving my mouth full of basically just coffee grounds. Worst of all it didn't even give me any sort of buzz or energy. I wish I could return this product but I don't know if I can with one of the cans missing a pinch.

My honest opinion
Ok 3/5 because I still like this product and I'm happy with my purchase. I just wish it was more similar to dip. The biggest downfall is how much the ground break off and float around in mouth unlike regular dip. Regular dip is way easier to keep it all in place. Also the grounds are really small, it would be nicer if it could some how resemble the shape and texture as regular dip, not sure how that's possible. I also would like if it did have the same sting on my gums as regular dip, there is no sting. Last thing is I wish this stuff gave you more of the urge to spit like dip does. Might sound weird but I want to spit lol, this stuff doesnt make me want to spit and I just end up swallowing everything. It doesnt affect the saliva in your mouth like regular dip does. Regular dip seems to make your spit more thick as this doesnt change anything. The positives: taste good, like how it does have caffeine, still nice to have something in your gums for an oral fixation. If these problems were solved this stuff would be so awesome.

First impression is awesome! I'm not a big coffee drinker but I have always loved the smell and flavor of coffee. This stuff smells good, and tastes really good. Not in the sense that I want to chew it like gum or eat it but in the sense that I feel like I'm getting a constant aroma of coffee while the chew is in. I've kept the first few coffee dips in for approximately 30 minutes without being tempted to ingest the whole thing or having it completely fall apart in my mouth. However I think if you are the type that works a chew around in your mouth or messes with the chew with your tongue you find that it will come apart much a like a regular tobacco dip will. I've been a tobacco chewer for well over a decade and am trying to cut back/quit. I can't attest to it's viability in this regard yet because I just tried it for the first time. For a number of years now I have been a strictly upper lip dipper. Mostly because I can park a dip in my upper lip with far less salivation and less need to spit. This unfortunately has allowed me to become accustomed to 'gutting' most of the juices which I have heard adds a high risk of stomach cancer in addition to the risk of mouth cancer. The sensation of having the coffee chew in seems to give me the same sensation as having a regular dip in. As other reviews stated: The coffee chew is very hard in the can, like a hard putty. It only took one or two dips to figure out how to pinch off the size I like and mold it into a ball to place in my lip. Once placed, the chew moistens and quickly feels like a regular chew in my mouth. (Although it doesn't seem like it will have the same 'cutting' effect that I like with chew) Like others said as it softens small bits slowly start to break off in your mouth but since I've been gutting bits of regular chew for years; Gutting the flavorful bits of coffee chew are quite pleasant. I will try to follow up after I have tried it for a number of days with things such as: how long the can lasted, did it stay fresh, caffeine effects. So far seems like a legit chew replacement for me so far. (I've tried the mint chew and thought less of it than this, and obviously the jerky chew you can get at the gas station is a total bust, I just end up chewing it up and eating it in minutes because it has way to much flavor like bacon)

Not for me
Purchased this product to help me quit chewing tobacco. Unfortunately it did not help much. It is nowhere near the consistency or texture of the real thing. It is basically ground coffee beans mixed with real honey. When you take the first dip, it is easy to move around and stays in place. However, once the honey dissapears, you are left with ground coffee beans in your mouth. just imagine grabbing a pinch of folders coffee and putting it your mouth. Thats exactly what it feels like after ten minutes It's messy and gets all over your teeth. It does however have a good coffee flavor. I would not purchase again or reccomend to my friends

Buy in LARGE quantity
Hello customers, if youre looking to buy this product i highly advise you buy in BIG quantity. Ive been dipping copenhagen straight long cut for 6 straight years since i was 14 years old and lately ive been getting sick and nauseous. But then if i try and quit i get mad and go ape s***. Honestly quitting dipping is one of the hardest thing to do with all the chemicals and nicotine they put in it. you have to be strong minded. Mind over matter, just keep telling yourself you dont need it. I, like many others always give in unfortunately but let me tell you something. since i started dipiing cowboy coffee chew i havnt dipped anything else for 2 straight months. its amazing it honestly just feels like youre dipping you know you got a fat lip in and with your spitter just relaxing, and instead of that buzz u get with real dip you get a burst of energy just like you would of drank a cuban coffee. i love the buzz and energy the cowboy coffee chew gives me. i love going to sleep just to wake up and put a lip in. the best freaking way to start your day TRUST ME. i honestly have nothing bad to say about. amazing product, it tastes amazing and smells great. alot of people say the smell is really overwhelming but i though it was just right. definitively one of the smartest decisions ive made. i say you do the same.

Amazing product to help quit dipping
This has been a game changer for me. I have used dip for 7+ years and finally got to the point I was ready to quit for good. The nicotine addiction was part of my issue. The nicotine withdrawals were rough, but not anywhere near as bad as I was expecting (everyone is different when it comes to that part). It was bad for 2-3 days and got better each day after. The need to have the sensation of something in my mouth/lip has been by far the hardest part for me and did not want to use a nicotine pouch. This product 100% solved for that issue. The taste to me is incredible. It gives a steady coffee flavor for pretty much the entire duration it is in my mouth. It does start to break down and come apart after 20-30minutes and when it does it is basically little specs of ground coffee that can get stuck in your teeth and what not. Dip can do the same, so that did not bother me. There is a little caffeine you get with using it, so that also helps replace the nicotine "rush" sensation some people get. I did not expect this to help as much as it did, but anytime I get the urge to have something in my lip I put this in and it takes care of that. If you are on the fence or trying to quit, I say at least give it a try.
