My new go-to for curcumin
I bought this to try out after using a different brand that was regular curcumin. Holy smokes, this stuff is potent!!!!!!! It has some minty aroma to the capsules and the color is very rich. I'm only on my 3rd dose and I feel it working on some brain inflammation I've been trying to clear up for the past several years. If you're shopping around trying to find the best deal for your money, I'd suggest this brand. 2-3 doses should have you convinced to stick with it. I will be looking at other supplements from this company, as long as they are vegan. I notice they have some that aren't, that I would buy if they were. I'd suggest to the company to veganize every product they can.

The best form of tumeric curcumin
That this form of tumeric (BCM-95) is the best form to take, and you don't need black pepper extract to help with absorbtion.

The bright color shows the quality.
This brand has the BCM-95 which is the highest quality and the price is good. I haven’t taken long but my aches and pains seem to be getting better. I take many vitamins and supplements and I have for most of my life. I truly know they help me.

Get a new desiccant!!
Got these because I was interested in trying a BCM 95 curcumin and these had a good rating at supp.co and good price here. Can’t tell yet if the supposedly better bioavailability is making a difference (joint pain), but I almost threw these out because the odor was so strong, as reported by other users. They describe it as “minty,” but my first take was more like a solvent. It’s so strong it flavors the capsules and I initially thought they might be contaminated. Other reviewers attributed the smell to the desiccant packet and I can confirm that. I emptied the capsules into a pan and have left them there to see if I can off gas some of the smell. Seems to have worked a little, but still have a weird taste. So, 2 points off for this problem because it really raised concerns and I almost tossed the whole bottle. With a better desiccant … might be OK or even good.

I've had this annoying back pain over the past few months that I know is due to inflammation. I've found certain foods makes it worse, which is a pretty good indicator for inflammation. After a couple weeks of taking these supplements, my back has gotten so much better! I don't know why it works, but it just does! My back isn't perfect by any means, but the pain is definitely a lot less than it was, which is not something I can complain about to be honest! Overall, I think these work amazingly and are definitely worth the price if you have chronic pain. Would recommend!

It is quite well known now that curcumin brings a wide range of health benefits but that the issue is bioavailability (i.e. most of it doesn't get into your system). For this reason it is best to include piperine and take it with food. This one claims a special formulation that achieves better bioavailablility. They also claim a very high curcumin content. The label isn't as clear as I would like so I have posted a question to the manufacturer. If it is correct these are an excellent buy, according to my spreadsheet which runs to about 50 different turmeric products and calculates the value for money based on the amount of curcumin.

£10 a month equivalent, but for anyone with ageing joints - a near necessity. Easy to swallow, no nasty aftertaste, and a good strength dose. So far, so good.

These 500mg softgel capsules contain a special formula of Curcumin called BCM-95, which are touted to be 7x more potent than regular 95% Curcumin supplements. These are a little more expensive than the curcumin x bioperine supplements that we normally take. Not by too much, but certainly still a 25-30% premium. This seems to be the most widely researched Curcumin formula on the market. Studies have shown that it improves symptoms of joint pain, cognitive decline, liver damage, low mood and inflammation. From our personal trials I wouldn't say this is significantly more effective than regular Curcumin supplements combined with bioperine. It is still very effective, but so are the standard supplements you can buy. The marketing for BCM-95 is a little sketchy, as it suggests it is better absorbed than regular Curcumin, but who takes Curcumin by itself? More commonly you will take Curcumin with a bioavailability enhancer such as Bioperine, and when compared to this I don't think there is much of a difference other than this is more expensive. These are worth a try if you have symptoms of joint pain or inflammation, however I would recommend to stick to a Curcumin & Bioperine (otherwise known as Piperine or Black Pepper Extract), which is often cheaper and just as effective.

The health benefits of turmeric are well known and I have ben using supplements for a long time and it is something that I looked closely into when I first started using them. So I have some reasonable knowledge on the subject. It's recommended for osteoarthritis, (dose of 1,000mg curcumin per day) are effective. and cholesterol levels can be significantly reduced also. I have taken Turmeric for many years for my general wellbeing. So I have a reasonable understanding of value in terms of quantity and dosage. You get a decent size bottle of 60 capsules. PROS: The turmeric capsules offer a 500 mg per capsule so a decent amount for a daily dosage. Adults can take up 2 capsules a day. You get 60 capsules so 2 months supply. I found the capsules easy enough to swallow and they went down ok. No adverse effects. CONS: Have To Be Imported from the USA Although I got a slightly larger serving of 500mg per capsule (My usual are 400mg with Black Pepper to help absorption) I think they are expensive ( £19.99p at the time of the review). They are over double what I would normally pay. Although they only have a slightly larger amount. They also don't have black pepper mix or ginger combined that aid absorption into the body They are capsules so may not suit everyone. In summary. There are medically proven benefits for taking turmeric , these offer a decent serving but too expensive for me to seriously consider to buy on a regular basis.
