Can the original box be recycled, if so where?

Recycle it where you take other cardboard to be recycled.

What is the purpose of this part?

Part of the normal process of an ink jet printer is automatically cleaning the print nozzles by squirting ink from them. That ink collects in the maintenance box. When it gets full of ink, it needs to be replaced.

I installed this box into my Epsono 4750 and the printer still thinks the box is full. How do I reset so the printer knows the box is now empty?

Is it the right aftermarket box for your printer? Check to insure it is. Uninstall and reinstall. See if printer finally reads as empty. If none of these work seek help from Epson Tech dept.

WF-4734 Printer didn't like it

Installs easily but didn't work. Printer displayed message "Maintenance Box not Installed." After 3 tries, the printer appeared to accept it only to display the same message after a few minutes. Returning this one and trying another brand.

Very nice maintenance box. Fits perfectly. Printer doesn't recognize it. Epson was way ahead of me. Another wasted effort to save a buck.

It is totally useless.

I ended up buying another cartridge from another site and had to clean my heads two times. I tried all cleaning methods etc. with the first one with no success. Will never buy from this seller again.
