If He Had Been with Me: The Tiktok Sensation

The miscommunication in this book was something else. I hated it and I loved it! The real eye opening part was how we all have our own version of events and we never really see the same things. I loved everything about this book except Jamie. Hated his guts and I’m so so glad he never ended up with autumn. Hated Sasha to how could she do that her best friend. I loved autumn and finny and my poor heart was broken by the end of this book. I wanted her to be with him and when it was happening I was cheering from the rooftops. The last page of this book tho had me screaming. How could it end just like that! I immediately brought both books in paper back and I can’t wait to read book 2. This book was everything I never knew I needed to read. I hope future readers feel the same too

Amazing book!, if you don't read chapter one as it provides the ending of the story. I was incredibly disappointed to know the ending of the story, before it had even begun. So reccomend starting from chaper two.

I loved the chemistry Finny and Autumn shared. Gets sad towards the end. Couldn't put it down! Overall, an absolutely amazing book!

I so wanted to love this book! There were such good reviews on tik tok about it, but it really fell flat for me. 95% of this book is fairly dull and drawn out and then it hits you all at once about 15 pages from the end, and leaves you on a cliffhanger where you have to determine what happens - something I don’t enjoy with books. I liked the main characters but I found autumn to be very depressing and I thought it was a bit overkill in the end. I also found the final declaration of love a bit unrealistic and rushed. You know from the first page of this book what will happen at the end - which I think spoils it a bit, as you are always aware of the inevitable. Also the author claimed to never be writing a sequel as she felt there was nothing more to say - now she has back tracked and it appears there is more to say after all, with a sequel arriving this year….. This is all just my opinion obviously as a lot of people love this book - it just wasn’t for me.

This has to be my first YA book that I’ve really enjoyed. I felt like the story was a little predictable, but still hit me like a train-wreck when it all unfolded. It took one page for my heart to shatter for the characters. 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐦𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐧 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. 𝐍𝐨𝐰, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫. This book was a nice easy read and after I finished I went straight on Amazon to order the sequel (out 3rd October) For me this book was a really good read and i didn’t want to put it down, however it lost stars for me personally as it was a little immature during scenes (the tiara being one thing) and despite the emotional ending I found it a little bit rushed but I also think this was intended just to twist the danger in the heart that little bit more!

Great

This is one of those books where there is a you before you’ve read it, and there is a you after you’ve read it. I knew what was going to happen, I picked up every breadcrumb and I saw it a mile away. But even with knowing, the story still gripped me entirely. I think it was worse knowing because every moment of the true purest love that finney gave autumn made my heart stop over and over. I was sobbing at every happy stolen moment that they got to share. But if ever there was a story to prove that there is beauty in sadness, this is it.
