Is this soft? The fabric looks hard.

It is soft. They did not send me the blue stripe that I ordered, but sent me the grey stripe. I wanted to return it for a refund, but they wanted me to pay shipping back to China. I used the A-Z Guarantee refund policy instead. All is well. Don't know why they advertise the blue stripe in a single, when they do not have it. They do business differently than the USA.

How can I tell if the sheet is working & is actually grounding?

It is said to work on bare skin, but maybe not through clothes. It should work, if the outlet is grounded. One has to test the outlet with a meter. When the outside ground is wet, I think the ground might work better? What do experts have to say about this?

Can you buy a separate grounding cord to add to the other snaps for more grounding?

That wont add more grounding. Get the top sheet and pillow case as well if you want to increase the affects.
