Most ball heads won’t fit

I don’t know if the manufacturers bothered to measure most screw handles, and apparently some people in the reviews here have had great success with this product, but this product was too small for both of my handles. (See photos.) My handles aren’t exceptionally long, either. Standard size. Unfortunately I have to return the item.
