Sound Addicted VibeBoss P10 - Acoustic Isolation Platform Suitable for 8-10 inches Subwoofers (13.7'' x 15.7'' x 2.5'')

Picked up the VibeBoss P10 after weighing this VS some other contenders and was not disappointed with the results. Studio layout is a medium sized room with a concrete floor covered by low pile carpeting. Minimal acoustic treatment but no noticeable issues with just two Yamaha HS7 monitors. After adding a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer (down-firing type) directly on the floor, the boom and sound pressure were overpowering, uncomfortable, and muddy - causing early ear fatigue. To make it tolerable and more balanced with the desk monitors, gain on the HS8S had to be turned way down from center (12 o'clock) to a little past 9 o'clock but it never sounded quite right or as good as a front-firing sub I had tried in the same space. Unboxing Sound Addicted's platform, the feel is light yet sturdy and well made. The size of the platforms were a major deciding factor and this platform is near perfect for the Yamaha HS8S specifically. Instead of the square shape 15"X15" of both the Auralex SubDude II and the Auray ISO-SUB, the VibeBoss P10 is rectangular at 13.7" wide X 15.7" deep which better matches the shape of the HS8S at 11.8"W X 15.3"D and leaves just a slight lip all the way around the bottom of the sub. Aesthetically, this isolation platform wins over the Auralex and Auray in my opinion not only because of the shape for my specific speaker, but it comes in all black. Not some medium gray or combo of black and gray like the others, its all black save for the Sound Addicted logo which you can see in the photos. The logo is tasteful enough but if you prefer a more subtle, cleaner look like me just turn it around to face the backside of the speaker. Most importantly, sound wise this made more of an improvement than anticipated. Once the sub was mounted properly on the platform, it's perceived loudness (at the 9 o'clock gain level) was so noticeably low compared to what it was before and to the two HS7 monitors that I had to double check that it was even powered on and connected properly. This allowed raising the gain back to the standard 12 o'clock position to match the monitors and the sounds from the sub were now cleaner, crisper, with way less boom and abrasion. The only downside seems to be that with the sub isolated and sounding better at its intended volume, the rattling of some of the studio furniture is way more obvious - so treating all that is the next project! TLDR: If you have a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer, this is the isolation platform you want (P10 size), look no further. *The same company also makes the matching set of all black Studio Monitor Isolation Pads [ https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYXQZ7P ] which look super clean on my desk and have no branding on them. I bought them a few years ago for the Yamaha HS7's and are highly recommended.

Fits well under my JBL sub, is solidly built, absorbs the bass so things don’t shake. Overall, it looks great and does its job.

As an eternal 66 year old sceptic I’ve gotten leery of audiophile items claiming to increase the overall sound and/or control needed within a home theater. I’ve always had the SVS isolator feet on both subs but the thought of elevating them both was a bit more promising. I was getting a lot of bass but it seemed to bounce around the room uncontrollably. I’m running a 7.4 home theater setup using the KEF Reference Series 5 Meta as the mainstay for overall mid/high sound production, a B&W center, SVS 10” and 14” subs upfront (these two received the sub platforms), two SVS Prime Pinnacles as rear, two Klipsch surrounds and a pair of 12” REL subs for the back. Overkill yes, far too much but it sounds like I felt a theater should sound. These elevated platforms have increased my ability to tone back some of the mid sub frequencies and allowing those to pass through the KEF, while providing excellent control for sound dispersion. We know subs produce frequencies that’ll bounce around a room with little thought as to where the sound ends up. The platforms allowed me to dial in the subs much more accurately with the input and rather than have a room filled with bass, I’ve decreased the subs output without decreasing control. This was not possible without these platforms. I purchased two to accommodate the fronts and I’ll leave the rear subs alone for now as they have built in 2” REL feet. These are perfect for someone wanting to increase control while maintaining the true sound reproduction and they do so with an aesthetic appeal and a great price, both somewhat undoable with just the use of isolator feet. Shipping was slow, but the product is very well built and very effective

I’ve been using this under my subwoofer and it made a bigger difference than I expected. It helps cut down on vibration through the floor and tightens up the bass, especially at higher volumes. Build quality is solid with a firm platform and dense foam underneath, and it stays in place without sliding. Setup is basically just placing your sub on top, so it’s super easy. It’s not going to completely eliminate all vibration, but it definitely reduces it and makes the sound feel cleaner. Overall, it’s a simple upgrade that actually improves both sound and noise control, especially if you’re in an apartment or have a sub on hardwood floors.

Very happy with this! We bought a new sound bar with a wireless sound woofer and we live in an apartment with people below us and we were concerned about vibration and the sound carrying through. We’ve been checking in with our neighbor below and she hasn’t heard any vibration, no booming… nothing. The size is perfect for where we put it also. It’s very durable and feels very sturdy with the material it’s built with. It also seems to be very high quality in product as well and seems like it will last a while, very happy with it! Money well spent so we won’t have to worry about noise complaints!

I have a 12" sub that transmits a little through the floor. This eliminated that and works great as a strong, stable platform.

Noise cancellation is very good, allowed me tune up the subs frequency response and turn the volume up without bothering/shaking the floor below me.

Works amazing reduces the vibes to nothing but with still great sound.Should be a must in every apartment or sound sensitive area I would and have recommended multiple times already. Fast and good packaging for shipping.
