How much weight can this support?

It says max weight is 250 lbs in the description. I'm disabled and use it to step in and out of my van. I weigh a solid 342 lbs and have never had any problems with it. My stool is over 3 years old and still works fine. I only use it as a quick step into the back of my van to sit down. I've never had my full weight on it for longer than 30 to 45 seconds. I just bought a second one just in case but I believe the original stool will last forever using it the wsy that I do. 🤬
