Got this to use for making my miniature kits. It’s got the basics. The tweezers are plastic, lightweight and useful. The 3 different files/emory boards are the ones I use most. I’m not happy with the knife. The blade keeps coming loose from the knife handle no matter how much I tighten it. It does come with extra blades. But I’m going to get a separate better quality Xacto knife to replace this one. I love the cutters. It’s very sharp and seems good quality. I’ve used them on wires, wood and plastic. Overall, this is a useful beginner tool kit at a great price. Quality is low to average but once you know what tools you use most, you can get better quality ones to replace these.

This is a great little starter kit for helping with models. I have big fingers and this has been a valuable tool kit. We'll made too.

I decided to develop a gunpla hobby, and these are great beginner's tools to have. The only "slight" complaint I have is the X-Acto blade handle, it doesn't hold the blades very well - and the blade itself is almost always in danger of falling out of the handle because it won't tighten enough. As it is, it's not really a deal-breaker - I already have a far superior X-acto set, and the extra blades are decent enough. I have to relearn the patience of model-building again, and starting with gunpla easily manages to merge my love of mecha and science fiction well enough. I bought this set along with the RX-78 2 1/144 scale Gundam Revive and the tools (aside from the x-acto set that I didn't really use) did the job perfectly. I would recommend this product as an affordable starter set for those that want to start a model-making hobby without having to break the bank. Just make sure that the item you get is completely brand new as I've read that sometimes some people got ones that may have already been used. The item that arrived for me was brand new; and although the x-acto blade holder isn't great, it doesn't deter me from being completely satisfied with it overall because I knew what I was paying for.

I've been building model cars off and on for over thirty years. I recently decided to go beyond the basic X-Acto Knife and sandpaper and get some actual modeling tools. I didn't want to break the bank so to speak, so I decided on this tool kit based on the low price and good reviews. I must say, I'm impressed! The nippers are extremely sharp as well as the hobby knife. The tweezers are nice for fitting small pieces on engines and things. The metal file is a life saver! It works better than sandpaper on certain applications, especially in tight spots. The foam sanding stick is extra fine grit for light detailing, not heavy sanding. It works great for it's intended purpose. There seems to be some confusion about that in other reviews. All in all, it's a great tool kit for beginners or casual builders alike.

Very nice value. All in one kit for war hammer minis. The cutters has a nice flat back to get really close to the spree when cutting out minis. Comes with mutiple exacto knife blades. The file has Multiple grit sizes. The tweezers work great for putting on small parts like my tau arms. The carrying case makes it all in one place and easy transport and storage. I would recommend keeping the cardboard cover for the cutters as they are spring loaded and make putting them back in the case with everything else a little awkward. But it’s not even a con to be. I also solved it with a little rubber band on the end of the cutters during storage. Great all in one bargain for minis. Highly recommend, nothing fancy. But the tools don’t feel cheapo either
