Rad!
At first I was super leary and thought that I was going to have to buy another knife way sooner than not. The knife was super sharp right out of the box/sheath. The sheath itself is well crafted and hold up well. However the button strap to hold the knife in has to be in a place that is rather inconvenient ams compromises the durability of the sheath itself. Back to the knife itself. Please understand that I work fine dining high volume and run a profesional hot hot line. Pictures will follow if allowed after this is posted. The handle is super comfortable, at least for my smaller hands. Also very well built. It's held up to a lot of heat and constant up and down on the cutting board. Never has it been in a dishwasher! The blade stays pretty damn sharp. I can ALMOST get paper thin cuts of steak, or even tomatoes. Maybe it's because I cook 100 or so steaks aside from sandwiches and salads, but I do find myself using my steel much more often than ide like to. I've used this knife to make cuts from simple bread slicing (if it's sharp it cuts a Baggett like butter), to chopping vegetables and butchering smaller bones. Fish cuts, and technical meat cuts like in tar tar. I've set it to a stone 2 times for a total of 5 min in the 3 months I've had it. It's been knocked onto the floor 2 times and it's held up like an old school Tonka truck. It is a little on the heavy side and took a couple weeks to get used to. Not to mention learning how to use the angles this specific blade offers. And it's totally how well the user knows the cuts, given that it has something like a 2° bevel. Don't expect the lower half of the steel to stay pretty as it WILL gain character if it is the black blade. 17 years in a kitchen and this is the first Dalestrong I've really used and the first I've owned. I'm quite impressed thus far. Enough that I'm going to purchase a couple more styles I'm the wolf series. All in all, it was a killer good investment!

Ridiculously sharp. Be careful!
I got this to replace my old chef's knife and can say this is lethally sharp, which makes it a joy to use for cutting literally anything, and with precision. So far I've not cut myself using it!. The sheath it comes with is also very smart for storage.

good handle and good blade
So first I want to say that I bought this knife because I am a butcher and I am in need of a good knife because my company buys garbage. I want to get this out of the way because I need a knife that will hold its edge for long periods of time. A lot of cheaper knifes will dull very quickly and its not practical to stop and re edge them or hone them after each cut. What I use this knife for is more of the extreme side. First Impressions were good. The knife comes in a fancy box with this booklet talking about knifes. The knife itself comes with a pretty well made leather sheath, Though I wish the sheath was a little smaller, there's nothing wrong with and the knife fits fine, I just would have like to see a little less material used in the sheath. Next thing you notice is the handle and by god this is properly the best handle I've ever held. The knife is a full tang and runs through the handle. The handle itself as a great finishing polish and is colored blue which I think fits really well with the black blade. The handle is held in place by three metal pieces that are sanded down and flush with the material of the handle. Alot of knife handles at lower prices will have cheap plastic handles that frankly are trash to use, This handle is very comfortable and at the same time gives you plenty of grip. Alot of times when your cutting if you have a bad handle you will need to death grip the handle or your hand will slide up the blade if it gets wet. The tang itself extends out the back little and has a hole so you could hang it up. The overall weight is good and its well balanced. The blade came very sharp and I haven't had the need to take it too my wet stone just yet which is great. The blade is not super chucky either but not super thin to make it brittle. I only two issues I have this blade are very minor but I feel like I should still mention them. For one the tip is not that sharp. It really doesnt need to be for a knife thats made to cut but the point could be better. Due to how good the handle is and the shape of it you can pretty much pull it right out if the sheath without undoing the buckle. It wont fall out or anything and you do need to put a moderate amount of pulling force to get it out but anyone who uses a knife regularly should be able to generate enough force to pull it out. Over all I really like this knife and as someone who cuts meat for 8 hours a day I would get this again and in fact I am planning on getting the bullnose knife and the paring and maybe the fillet knife. I do wish they had a boning knife but I will have to make do.

Buen cuchillo, funda con pequeño defecto de diseño
Tener cuidado con el cintillo del seguro en la funda, si no tienen cuidado, lo pueden cortar al sacar el cuchillo pues tiende a doblarse en la posición de cerrado

Awesome chefs knife
Bought as a gift for my fiancé. He has large hands and he absolutely loves this knife. It’s very lightweight and chops everything with ease. I am thinking of replacing my own knife myself now. Love the leather case it comes with as well. 5 stars!!! Well made beautiful knife!
