Used with Aukee H7 LED Headlight Bulbs, 50W 6000K 10000 Lumens Extremely Bright CSP Chips Conversion Kit. Fits 2013 Chevy Caprice. Metal is fairly flimsy but functional. What a pain to install very fiddly make sure u got something to calm urself.

I purchased these in order to retrofit a 2012 VW CC to aftermarket LED lights. The quality of these retainer clips is completely substandard. The fit is sloppy and imprecise, the tension inconsistent, resulting in unreliable headlight bulb retention. At one point I became so frustrated, I removed the headlights from the car in order to perform the work on the bench and eliminate space constraints. After several tries I gave up, as these retainers clips never provided a solid mount / retention but also started to show signs of deformation / flex. In my opinion these clips lack the required tensile strength as well as precision fit & finish.

They Fit over the light great but could not get to twist into place had to slightly bend outside tabs so they where flat sat flush and works pretty good

Got these cuz the dealer of the H7 led bulb did not have an adapter for sale and after I notice that they were not a direct fit. There are issues around changing from OEM installs and after market products and this is one of them. The adjusting ring on the LED comes off and is to attach to the new retainer. However, it does not stay in place making it difficult to install as VW light housing is small and you can not really see what you are doing. The first thing I did was to place a small dot of glue to the housing so that it will stick and not fall off. Next, it was difficult to install as I did not see how the old unit attached to and from the housing. After I knew where the clip was to be lined up, there was not issue in installing the ring and clip. Then you insert the LED and adjust according to directions . Fit seem tight and does not appear it would come off. If it does, I'll let you know.

These work perfect with hids bulbs. I purchased another one and the hole wasn't big enough for these morimoto hid bulbs. But this adapter is perfect! However doesn't work on a gx 470. I should of read the discription. I thought they were all the same. Pay attention to the locking tabs on yours and on these and make sure they are the same.

Best application for this product. GLUE (Super or Gorilla glue) this adapter to the rotational/adjustable base of the retrofit LED bulb Base. Dry overnight and you're "Good to Go" for 20 years or the life of the vehicle/headlamp housing. By gluing this adapter to the adjustable base, you'll NOT experience installation failure when affixing to the housing retaining fasteners, of which there are Two. From experience, trust me.

so i tried to put these on my LEDs the way you are supposed to but, i came to find out the locking fins compared to the ones on the OEM VW clips are mirrored? so i had to use pliers and bend and shape it to where it would fit. in the end i was able to install the LEDS but took me a hour when this could have been an easy 10 minute job if the fins weren’t in the wrong orientation. don’t waste your money on this unless you are desperate and have a pair of pliers
