Good product
While I haven’t had to use it, it is well made and should do the job. Gill makes quality products.

bigger than expected
A bit bigger than expected, but the only cutaway tool in my sailing arsenal with a shackle key built in.

Very sturdy. Design could be improved
Weird ergonomics - I'm not sure how to grip it. There's no comfortable way. But I'm sure in an emergency it'll be better than those safety knives with webbing handles. Heavier than I expected. I'm sure it could be made with thinner plate stock, and some material could be removed from the corner above the shackle key. It's strange that the serrated edge and the hook knife edge don't flow into each other. The inside corner there is the full thickness of the blade without any bevel. That could slow you down if you're trying to cut through a thicker rope, like a sheet. I'm planning on changing this by adding another serration with a chainsaw file in the blunt corner between the knife edges

Perfect size.
Now sailing deck harness just needs to start adding molle points for equipment.

Awkward grip, the design needs to change as one would easily get cut
One can almost inadvertently cut one’s trigger finger off if not careful if grabbing this naturally…

Small
This is a small tool, not really a knife. Cuts nylon rope easily and cotton tape smoothly.

Rusted after just a few months
A marine knife that does not resist sea water. These are the conditions after just a couple of months (see picture).

Amazing!
Exceeded my expectations! The product quality, packaging everything! Sailors, kayakers should not be on the water without this.
