Gamboa Men's Alpaca Wool Poncho

Perfect balance between warm and not overly warm. Recommend for fall and spring weather over winter. Fabric is nice and the hood is appropriately fitted. Plain enough to match all, different enough to look good.

I love this poncho! It looks and feels great. Lightweight, warm, and soft. Other reviewers have mentioned a very strong smell, I did not have that experience. There was a bit of an odor, but not all that strong. I used the "hand wash" setting on my front load washer with some woolite, hung it to dry for a day, and voila! Ready to wear. This is a quality product at a very reasonable price point, I highly recommend it.

I bought this for when I take my dog out in the winter it is surprisingly warm for what it is. Find myself wearing it instead of wrapping up with a blanket. when the rainy snow hit it it repelled the water and I was comfortable and dry.( I'm not saying jumping in a pond and you'll be dry) but it serves a well purpose I find myself wearing it quite frequently it is soft on my bare skin not cashmere soft but close enough without the Hefty price tag. My Poncho hangs down to about my knees .If you're hesitant don't be if you want to dress up as a gray Jedi you could Rock the part need to stay warm at a ballgame, or hanging out with people and it's m i called and you're trying to keep your distance for the corona you'll be warmer then them and happier.

I live in this now. Great for late fall to early winter. It looks spectacular, good quality. It's like the lite sweater of ponchos. I have some of the heaver ones that were $50 more, those would keep you warm in a snowstorm. Pretty much exactly what I expected. 5'8 / 250lbs, and it fits great, walks great with tee shirt or a sweatshirt.

Nice, warm and comfortable. Chemical smell was present but aired out fine. Only complaint is hoods to small

I bought one of these panchos 2 years ago and I love it. It's lightweight but very warm. I like the fact that is supposed to be made of all alpaca fabric, no synthetic blends. My original one is red and my pet's fur shows up on it easily, so the new one is mostly white so hopefully the pet hair won't be as obvious. The new one doesn't seem to be as heavy as the first one, but I like it.

I actually got this for a Mexican-themed party. I skipped the sombrero and got this and other items. I wanted to get something I might wear after the event since this thing is not cheap. (However, maybe it is inexpensive since it's Alpaca wool.) It was a good choice. Through the night I was warm and it looked great. The are no arms, but that's part of the design. I kind of wish there were, but I suppose it's made for waiting in outside with or working using your arms with maybe. I mean, it's a poncho so you can image its limitations and pros. I love how soft it is and it's not itchy look sheep wool.

Following my shoulder surgery I needed something that I could easily wear. This poncho is perfect. Soft and light enough to wear inside, and heavy enough to wear for short trips outside.

Impressed with the quality, super comfy to wear around the house. Would recommend being careful (especially if you have pets) not to snag the poncho on anything as it can get damaged very easily. Was able to salvage a snag from my dogs nail, but will definitely be more careful!
