I engraved these for wedding gifts and they came out beautiful.

These were extremely well packaged: The corners of each plate were reinforced with cardboard protectors, then each wrapped in plastic, then separated by thin foam sheets, then all were placed in a foam box, then into a cardboard box! Very little chance of damage and I only had one small scratch on one plate that was obviously done prior to packaging. These are ideal for my purposes: Perfectly sized for individual servings of sushi, seared tuna, caprese salad, and tapas. The tops are textured, the edges natural, they seem sturdy, and there are water resistant pads underneath to protect surfaces. I scrubbed lightly with a soft brush before using to remove any loose bits of slate.

Here is what I like about this product: It is sturdy, many uses and easy to clean. I use them to serve individual lunches. A sandwich, fruit or small bowl of soup fit perfectly. I use them to serve assorted cheeses and meats for get togethers. I have even arranged candles on them for the center of our small cafe table. Last year, it was the most popular gift in our elephant exchange. It comes with chalk pens if you want to identify the cheese on the board.

Used for individual cheese and fruit board at dinner party. Looked good with table settings. 4 stars because I was not a fan of the stone /chalk markers and would never use with food. Was a bit gimmicky. Also the oil from cheese stained the slate so will lightly oil all of them before next use.

Packaged well. No breakage. I use these to laser on. Works very well for my projects. Well pleased with quality

These slate boards are so much better than expected. Thickness is the same as my high quality - and very expensive large cheese board. Snd the color matches perfectly. Unexpectedly, each individual board has small rubber “feet” which will keep the slate from marring counters or tables. I intend to use these as individual charcuterie boards, but they could also be used to serve hors’d’ouvres, desserts and so much more. They even include talc and wax crayons so that cheese name can be written on each slate. Each slate was individually wrapped with cardboard encasing the corners of each board and plastic wrapped around each board. Then encased in a thick sponge box. They arrived without scratch. You need to buy these! I can’t wait to use mine!

I bought these to paint on. They are wonderful to paint pet memorials on or even just a small landscape painting. The texture of the natural slate is smooth and yet it adds character to my paintings. I love them for this and I use many of this company’s Charcuterie boards as “canvases” for my paintings. They are perfect for me. I don’t know how they would work for food, however. I have not tried them for food.

Got these for sushi nights and they’re great! Seem well crafted and they’re easy to wash.

Great quality product, used to serve our Christmas party food. They are sturdy, look great and have a good weight to them showing their quality. The size is perfect to portion a cute Christmas party food set and our visitors loved them! At the end of the night, they were easy to clean and store away, ready for their next use.

Although primarily serving boards for cheese and meat, I purchased these slate boards as part of a project to interpret a marsh on my home island. I will use them to paint portraits of birds and insert them in a stone pillar overlooking the marsh. The slate pieces were well packed and arrived on time and in good shape ready for me to etch and paint. They are perfectly suited for the project.
