Hycline Bike Shifter SL-TX30-7R,7 Speed Mountain Bicycle Right Thumb Gear Shift Lever

I’m a single mom with some handy skills. Installing it was easy, the hardest part was the adjustments for the rear derailleur to make sure the 7 speeds shifted correctly. Product comes without instructions but it’s common sense. With some YouTube videos and trial and error, I was able to figure out the rear derailleur. I later had to buy the bike tool for cutting cable separately, but I learned a lot. This part by itself works great and makes shifting A LOT easier for my 8 year old. I’m proud of myself and now I have more skill to make bike repairs.

Easy installation. Easy shifting for even a child. High quality, waxed braided cable. Functions like high end shimano component. Very pleased. I needed this because the cheap walmart bike I bought my kid took too much strength to shift, badly. Popped it on with a philips head screw driver. Standard 22mm handlebar. Very pleased with quality and function. This will only work with Shimano, which is every where, even on a $99 Walmart kids bike.

My cable was 80 1/4 inches long. Very easy to install until you go out to use it. The hold down strap on the handlebar slips so that the unit spins away from your thumb when you try to use the lever. On my bike, it spun back to rest on the brake lever which worked but was too far around to operate easily. I ended up drilling a hole and screwing a washer in the gap to hold the shifter at a more functional level. Works fine now.

Super easy install! I crashed my Ariel rider and needed a new shifter. Popped the grip off, cut the old cable and slid the new shifter into the old sheathing, didn’t even need to do any adjustment. Fit great! Works great! Great bang for the buck

My original rear shifter cable broke so I decided to change out the whole thing. Great price, installed in about 20 minutes and works wonderfully for my mountain bike.

My son couldn't change gears on the original grip shifter on his bike, as its so tight. Bought this shifter and new rubber handle and now he can change gears just fine. Was super easy to install, I watched a youtube video first, but was very easy. The bike doesnt move into 7th gear (just 1-6 which is fine for him anyway), but I think it's the bike thats the issue as it not the shifter.

First time replacing one of these. It installed pretty easily. I had to make small adjustments where it connected to the derailleur to get it to work in the whole range of the 7 gears, but I think that’s a normal part of the installation. This was just a matter of pulling slightly more or less of the wire through the nut where it connected until it was the right tightness/length. Works great and seems like a solid product that will last for years.

This workes great for my Lectric XP 2.0, but the cable was about 6" to short. Luckily I was able to barely reuse my existing cable with some patience. If the existing cable is in good shape, you will be fine, otherwise you will also need to buy a new cable as well.
