I had a mastectomy surgery, and this is a life saver for any trips in the car to help you feel protected and supported. You can put the seat belt over it so you’re strapped in. It’s also great for sitting on the sofa and sleeping in bed for those first few nights.

I purchased this mastectomy pillow after seeing it featured on Amazon and reading the glowing reviews from other customers. And I can attest that the reviews are spot-on. This pillow has been an absolute essential during my surgery process and it’s so handy that I see no reason not to keep using it after I heal from my reconstruction. Something about its shape and softness is the magic - I didn’t really wear it strapped to my body while moving around the house, but primarily used it when in bed. It sits so naturally across your body that it makes a non-bulky barrier that prevents your comforter from weighing or chafing against sensitive areas. Almost more importantly, the side panels provide a gentle armrest that prevents uncomfortable muscle pulling in your shoulders when you are laying on your back. As a side sleeper, sleeping on my back has been one of the toughest aspects of this process and your arms really do pull down to the sides in a way you don’t notice until the muscles along the top of your chest are compromised. Lastly, the pockets are everything so you’re not fumbling for your phone or remotes which is so important when your range of motion is compromised. Of course it is a must in the car too. A few times over the last few months I’ve forgotten my pillow while going in a car or staying overnight somewhere- and on all occasions trying to substitute another pillow did not come close!! Get this gem!! Best purchase I made for this journey and as noted I see no reason why I won’t keep using it when I’m all healed!

I had a breast reduction and this has been so handy. It provides a barrier so my cats can’t jump on me. It allows me to lift my arms slightly when I’m sleeping. It has a pocket for my phone and glasses. And it protects my chest from the seatbelt in the car. It’s really something you don’t know you need until you have it.

When a family member was going through a double mastectomy; There is not much you can do to provide comfort —- But this was a game changer. It provided a lot of comfort and relief during the initial time after surgery. I cannot recommend this product enough. I would buy it again if I ever have another person facing this type of surgery

The pillow itself was fine however the clip at the back was very cheap and did not clip properly so I had to tie it around my back instead which was slightly uncomfortable
