Senses Sets Itself Solar Power Stylist Talking Watch by Five Senses 1035: Shop top fashion brands Clocks & Watches at desertcart.com ✓ FREE DELIVERY and Returns possible on eligible purchases Review: A Good, Reasonably Priced Talking Watch - This watch is the most satisfactory of the three talking watches I got for my husband. First and foremost, it does what the watch is supposed to do! It keeps accurate time, it receives signals that keep it in the correct time zone, and it speaks out time, date, year...(these are the only functions we care about.) The others did most of this (except one did not receive time signals) so why is this one favored? An expandable band for a visually handicapped person is important. The first watch with that kind of band cost about three times what I paid for this one, did not keep time any better, and when the battery died I realized I wanted a solar powered watch. The second was an "atomic signal" one, but to keep the price down I got a leather band which was a mistake because I had to put the watch on and take it off, which is not what you want a handicapped person to add to other difficulties. But the worse problem was that when it got only slightly wet it died and none of the usual treatments ever brought it back to life. So...the fact that this watch has all of the functions and features I want warrants 5 stars. And I really like that USB powered light source for recharging the battery -- that is clever, simple to use, and convenient. I should add that the "major con" is the poorly written instructions that accompany the watch. I finally figured them out and got everything working, but what took me about an hour of reading and rereading, should have taken 5 minutes with clear instructions. The supplier did sent a nice email about the product and included a link to video instructions. I wrote back that those instructions ought to be sent with the delivery to do any good and they wrote back an acknowledgement of that, explaining they only provided that after hearing complaints about their instructions. I thought this was another plus for a company who listens to and responds to customer problems! I am sorry to see on the desertcart site that this is not being offered now, hope they do restart it for others who need one. Review: The watch is great it sets itself every morning @ 3 - The watch is great it sets itself every morning @ 3:00 (Hr.Min.sec. day date and year) The charger is "out of this world" and the watch has an indicator that show the battery charge( F-M-L ) and the charge last a long time even when left in the dark (2 or more weeks). Read ALL included directions. The only minor detail I am not happy with is the cheap stretch out band, other than tan that the watch is outstanding

I wasted my money
I wasted my money, as this watch doesn't work for the person I bought it for. Main problem being the talking part. It isn't loud enough for him or me to hear and is garbled to the point of not understanding what is being said, even if we could hear it. We each have hearing aids that work, but not for this watch. He has sent it back to me and I will try to return it for a full refund. We really wanted it to work as he is blind and it would be nice for him to have. It really complicated to set especially with numbness in our hands and fingers in particular. We have grandchildren that set it which is of no use as it can't be heard nor understood. With regrets, ,John Weems

Good experience
I have purchased several talking watches for my blind mother over the years, so feel I can make a comparison. The directions were clear and I actually used them, which I generally do not bother with since it's often easier to simply guess then try to follow bad directions. The watch is taller when worn then an average watch, but the same as other talking watches. The male voice is clear and of course male voices are easier for the aged to hear - ask your hearing aid rep. The atomic feature did set the time correctly over night, but be sure you set it to the correct time zone. The watch charged quickly in lamp light. I think the atomic set feature is a must for the elderly who are often upset at time changes in spring and fall, this watch will reset automatically to keep them on time to all the fun events at the home.

Works fine. Just too bulky, large
It's okay. Easy to set up after finding the instructions online. Does everything as expected: Runs off solar power (nice "LED charger" included), syncs-up to Colorado standard, and talks. I took a chance and got the expand-o-flex type band, hoping it would fit my oversized wrist. It was still too tight. I bought an XX-Long Leather band from a 'princely' online dealer. After replacing the band, it was just too bulky: heavy, oversized. I'll stick with my Solar-powered, railroad approved, Seiko SNE179: Black dial, 38mm x 9mm thick. I had to replace the band on it as well. Still, less bulky and not so large but easy to read dial. At least I can use the LED charger on it .

Too bulky, too thick, ugly artistic design, functional feature is fine, but look like a toy and piece of junk. Or some type of throw way prototype work. I gave it to my student to open it up to see how dese it work. But any way it is cheap, you wear it, you feel embarasing! Sorry to say it this way.

Excellent Watch, Easy to use.
This is the best watch I ever had. Reading the instructions carefully it is easy to set up for a continues daily use. The time is always accurate to a fraction of o second. It has a clear voice to tell time and date, also to check for time update Alarms etc. It shows very quickly the state of the battery. I let it charge over night once a week. See photos of a small stand I made to put in front of a window to update the watch over night and charge it at the same time. The stand makes it a lot easier to keep the band from touching the back of the watch. I hope this watch will last many years, it is made well enough to do that. It looks like a clean design and is very pactical. I like the big numbers and the overall looks of this beautiful watch. next week I will change the stech band to one with a clasp, which I like better.

A fast talking British accent-ugh
I don't like the fast talking British accent that comes with this watch. Sometimes it's impossible to understand the time he is reciting. American buyers deserve to hear plain American english. American buyers should be given a choice before buying this watch whether they want to hear an Englishman or an American talking.

Horrible producto. Incómodo (y añádase la mala pulsera) Únicos puntos a favor: - i.
