How long is the body without the adapters? i need it to be exactly 10.25 inches, to replace a dwyer 1 inch meter. it looks identical to the dwyer?

If they are not identical it is pretty close to a dwyer. I got 10.5 inches end to end when I put a tape measure on it, but it also has the rounded body of the meter which makes a straight measurement harder.

How many pulses per gallon (i.e. 1pulse = 1 gallon) for the 1" meter?

The standard configuration for the 1" meter is 10 pulses per gallon, but it can be reconfigured to 1 pulse per gallon or 1 pulse for every 10 gallons.

is this water meter rated for potable water in the US?

Unfortunately no, they cannot be used for potable water. They use brass fittings, which contain lead, so they do not meet the new EPA standards for safe drinking water. You would need to find a meter that has a NSF 61 certification for drinking water. Thank you!

what is the temperature range this will operate? I want to attach this a boiler hot water heating system

Maximum temperature is 104 F. We do have hot water meters which will go up to 194 F but we only carry the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch in the hot water meter.
