I picked up the Klein Tools VDV526-200 LAN Scout Jr. 2 to test my CAT6 outdoor runs and it works great. Super simple to use – just plug in both ends and it quickly checks continuity, wiring configuration, and detects shorts or miswires. It identified a couple of bad terminations on my long cable runs in seconds, saving me tons of troubleshooting time. This is my 5th or 6th tester ... by far one of the best tester I've used. Do not bother saving a few dollars purchasing less expensive testers ... You truly get what you paid for with this product. Fast, effective and provides great detail if you make a mistake with your termination.

I used to have a very cheap tester that was working well (and was based on a sequence of lights) but eventually it kicked the bucket. First of all, Klein is a very reliable brand and I've bought many tools from them. Secondly, the display was very easy to read, the instructions were clear, and overall the product behaved perfectly. I was able to test multiple ethernet cables easily. On a bonus note, it wasn't nearly as expensive as some of the other enterprise tools you may see out there, but for ethernet, this is perfect

I needed this ASAP to solve a problem with my low voltage in-house wiring; Amazon's 3-hour delivery came in about half that time. The tester was ready out of the box and very easy to use. I probably would have needed to hire someone to resolve the connectivity issue, but the tester and hours of sleuthing got me the answer. It probably has features I didn't use, so can't speak to those. I'm guessing I saved hundreds of dollars by doing the work myself.

Works perfect, easy to use

Test muy completo y con capacidad de sestear tiradas de hasta 80M en Cat6 y 60M en cat5e. Tiene todo lo necesario para la comprobación del cable y el correcto funcionamiento. Indica si existe un fallo de contacto en alguno de los terminados o si se ha colado más de un hilo por 1 solo conducto,también informa de hilos cruzados o de una cable con diferente estándar por lado ( tipo crossover) sin olvidaste de la comodidad de comprobar desde una sola hubicacion el testing status del cada cable en cuestión. Buena herramienta electrónica,ahora esperemos q siga siendo fiable por años.

Tiene toda la calidad de klein Tools. Es pequeño y cómodo de usar. Permite determinar que pares del cable se han abierto, están intercambiados, en corto, o intermitencias de desconexion. Usaba un probador a base de Leds, y el cambio con respecto a este, es la comodidad de poder ver el estado de cada cable individual en base a la numeración como se asigna en el conector rj45, sea como lo estemos visualizando nosotros, un T568A o T568B, o un cable cruzado. El obtenerlo con descuento me dio oportunidad de acceder a una herramienta de diagnóstico de mejor calidad y prestaciones. El empaque impecable, y los tiempos de entrega sin problemas.
