The SSL UF8 is a very nice piece of pro hardware. Works flawlessly.
SSL UF8 is working flawlessly on my late 2013 Intel mac pro with Big Sur. Finally, a control surface that works 100% with Logic Pro. It' a really nice, quality piece of pro hardware. And Vintage King Audio had it at my door in 2 days! You guys are the best. Kudos to SSL for the UF8 and Vintage King Audio for the fast shipping. I will be ordering a 2nd one soon.

Great Product
I use Pro Tools, Logic and Luna. This control surface works perfectly with all 3 but Luna is my new favorite. A perfect match for any Universal Audio system. SSL did a great job with this and the resolution of the faders is much better than any other controller I've used. It's also very easy to customize.

Best Control Surface, but no Big Sur Support
I have owned almost every control surface since the first Mackie HUI in the late 1990s. And the UF8 is absolutely the best, but if your are running Big Sur do NOT buy it yet. SSL is still not supporting Big Sur - 7 months (!!!) after its release. This is shameful for a company like SSL (thus the 4 stars, not 5). Are we all suppose to wait to upgrade our Macs for almost a year while SSL gets their act together to update their software? Delayed updates is why I switched from ProTools to Logic - it was absurd how long it took Avid/Digidesign to update their software. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with SSL. I spent hours of wasted time trying to get the UF8 to work before their support admitted they don't support Big Sur yet. This is just lazy on SSLs part. And very disappointing.

Good but not there yet
The hardware piece is fantastic but software is a huge problem. I work with Cubase and right now the CC is not working well. They promised an update by the end of the year and until there, if you’re a composer that works on Cubase, I would say, hold it

A solid piece of gear that works as it should.
Very well built and feels high-quality. I had no problems getting it up and running with Ableton Live 10 & 11, Pro Tools, and Logic. I waited a long time to replace my aging Mackie Control. I feel the wait was well worth it.

Awesome
Absolutely in love with the SSL UF8s. This is the second one I've bought to expand my setup to 16 faders, pan pots, etc. These are insanely intuitive to install thanks to SSL's control software. Very easy to use with a bunch of different DAWs, AND extremely extensive in their feature-set should you really want to sink your teeth in and learn their more advanced features. A great tool to mix more with your ears and less with your eyes.

Best there is for DAW control/mastering.
Ableton, FL and Logic user it's great. Sure you can't use the automation buttons out of the box for those DAW's but the pro's far outweigh the cons. Great tool for those just getting started.
