Exactly what I was hoping for.
I'm writing this the day I received it and I've only used it twice so this is just based on first impressions, but I spent an eternity trying to figure out which metal filter to buy and I finally settled on this one. I wanted to make sure to write a review for anyone else struggling through the same process. I really wanted something that could replace my paper filters without being low quality, making a bad cup, or being too much of a pain to deal with.Highlights:-This fits perfectly in my Hario V60-The rubber ring is removable, which is great because I don't need it. But it's a very nice ring that fits very snuggly. I could always put it back on if I change my mind.-The mesh is VERY fine and nothing seems to get through. There's no sludge in the bottom of my cup.-The seams are very smooth and everything feels high quality. This is exactly what I would expect for the money. I have no complaints. It seems like something that will last for years.-It's very easy to clean. I don't know if it will get harder to clean over time (it seems like it might) but it's currently very easy.-My coffee tastes great! I was worried it would impact the taste, but this is better than my french press. I was worried I wouldn't like it as much as my hario paper filters but it still makes a very good cup of coffee.Negatives-It does seem to drain slightly faster than the hario paper filters, but this doesn't effect taste. My coffee doesn't seem any weaker, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I'm a little worried I'm getting less caffeine per cup but I can't tell by taste.-I think this will require a little extra tlc to get clean every week or two. I currently can't speak to how much of a pain this will be. It's hard to tell how much the oils and the finest grounds are going to want to stick to this over time. (I have a cleaning powder, I think Cafiza, that will hopefully make the job easier.) But it's coming clean pretty effortlessly right now.I'll definitely have to come back once I've been using it for awhile and let you know if it holds up, but I don't have any complaints yet. It's exactly what I was hoping for. I chose this in part because it was one of the few filters I saw that has a website. I figured that was a good sign because so many things on amazon are from brands that exist only here and show up looking nothing like the product photo. What you see is exactly what you get and it's sold by the manufacture. It all seems very legit. If my filter's still going strong after a few months I'll probably buy a second one to have as a back up.

Over 200 pours
The product I purchased was the Ovalware Stainless Steel Pour Over Coffee Filter back in December of 2019. This is a simple pour over coffee filter designed to fit in pour over vessels. It is made of two layers of stainless steel mesh, providing filtration of water through coffee. The perimeter of the filter has a silicone ring that causes it to fit perfectly in my Chemex carafe. This was one of the the solutions for my daily coffee making routine, which was a little different than what I have done previously. My choice to purchase this filter was to determine if permanent filters are as good as paper filters in regards to flavor, time to use and cleanup. Another objective was to see if there is a savings between permanent and what I usually use which is Chemex Classic Coffee Filters, Squares, 100ct.(all prices are at the time I purchased)Ovalware = $19.99, Chemex filters = $12.99$12.99/100 = $0.13/ use$19.99/ $0.13 = 153 filters153 filters means 2 packs of filters @$12.99ea = $25.98I received the item in the box as pictured on the Amazon store page. Inside the box was also a small insert directing the buyer to their website where the product could be registered and more products could be purchased. My first use was the same as all of my other coffee making sessions, except I was using this permanent filter. Proper grind and coffee to water ratio produced an expected filtering (drop) time and the coffee was good. There was no sediment. Cleanup involved dumping the grounds; now I can save them easily for the garden as opposed to picking them out of a filter. Then a rinse under the water followed by towel dry to remove excess water and any oils left behind.Today it has been over 200 days or 2 packs of filters and the Ovalware is still in great shape; this can be seen in the attached photos. The inside seam, which is what I see failed in many reviews, is intact like the day I got it. The outer seam has also maintained. The inner mesh shows no signs of staining and there are no trapped grounds. Depending on the bean, I do use a single regular coffee filter with this; however, this does not affect the drop time. I have over filled the filter (~2.4 ounces), but did not experience any grounds going past the silicon ring into the carafe. I have also fine ground with no issues except increased filter time.I did go to the company’s website to register my product and have not received enough emails from them to unsubscribe. The emails are thoughtful and monthly. I took a look at their other products and, if I ever need any other coffee gear in the future, that is one of the places I would look, as they have everything. They also have some helpful information such as coffee to water ratio and a blog which is a great resource. My final thoughts are that this product has met and exceeded my expectations and needs. This is a high quality product at a very reasonable price. It makes the same tasting coffee that I had made with the paper filters and the cleanup is easy. Keeping filters in stock takes time and prices change; this filter is always there and has lasted over 200 brewing sessions. The silicone ring seats it perfectly in my carafe and allows me to quickly and easily take the filter out right away without burning my fingers. In regards to the math, this absolutely has saved me money and time.

Good filter to improve your coffee experience.
Recommend this filter. Read about this filter and why this is good for brewing coffee. See the information within the item description. Essential oils of coffee come through this filter. They do not through paper filters. Fits perfectly in my glass pour over coffee decanter. Easy to clean. I rinse in water and then again with vinegar water and a gentle brush to remove any remaining grounds. Coffee brewing is a science. This filter is one step to a better cup of coffee.
