This makes wearing the iRestore Laser helmet very useful as you're not tied down to the power cable anymore. I really like it. On one charge it will go through around 10 twenty-five minute sessions which is not too bad.

The battery is supposed to let you use the helmet for a whole week, but early during the 2nd use the LED lights go very dim. So, it cannot be very effective. An easy fix would be adding some battery level indicator. Feels and looks very cheap too.

If you are going to buy the hat, get this. Practically speaking, it really isn't an option. It is sold separately in order to reduce the price-point. However, the leash that the cord creates as it becomes increasing twisted makes it unexpectedly difficult to keep up use every other day. Going cordless solves this. If you are going to throw down enough money to get the iRestore, then suck it up and spend a few more bucks, do it right, and get the battery back.

Being able to use the hat without being stuck to an outlet is fantastic. It saves me time as I don't have to do nothing for 25 minutes at a pop but can move around the house. I only wish the cord was a bit longer- i am 6 feet tall and could use a couple extra inches to put it in a pocket easily. The belt clip is okay but my cord is so tight that I have to remain mindful when it is on. I charged mine once and so far have used it a half dozen times without having to recharge- this means the charge has held over two weeks. I wear mine as directed- my results are okay but not great, but that is no reflection on this product which I bought after I missed the window to return the hat. If you are going to devote the time and money to the iRestore, do yourself a favor and get the battery pack.

Sadly mine stopped working after less than a year. For $80 bucks I would expect it to last much longer!

Even when fully charged you’re not getting the same voltage as the power supply itself. The idea is great but it would need its own power supply in order for this to provide the same specifications as the power supply

The first one I received was faulty because the helmet would lose connection to the charger with the slightest movement. This probably happened at least 10 times. I couldn't even move once I started the timer because I was afraid it would re-start so it defeated the purpose of having a portable charger. It did take a long time for the company to "believe" me as I was asked to send videos over and over again to show that it was the actual product that was messing up and not the user's fault. Once I submitted a quality video though, the company immediately issued a new one and I've been using that for the past month and a half with zero problem! I've used the charger for about 4 sessions before I charge it. So if I'm going on a work trip for about a week it's nice to know that the charge will last.

It’s a must have but it runs out of juice after only a couple uses. But if you plan to be a long term irestore user you have to have it. They need to fix battery life.
