Can these move very heavy bedroom furniture

Yes, with these sliders you can move your heaviest bedroom furniture easily.

Why do these say anti-skid in the description but have the softer foam ones in the picture? Which type do you get?

Foam on one side, hard plastic on the other side. I use these under my sofas on carpet for easy movement when cleaning or rearranging furniture. I have others I use on hardwood flooring to keep from scratching floor - again, slides easier using the sliders. The foam side is always upright (on top) - place your furniture legs on the foam, not the hard plastic side (this side is down). I think the description for "anti-skid" means the foam is textured, so the legs won't slide off the foam when put in place.

Would these work under an appliance like a kitchen aid mixer to slide on granite?

I would say no, as these are meant to assist with "gliding" heavy items across carpet (plastic side down) and you may run the risk of the plastic scratching your countertop. Instead, I would recommend the same companies thick, felt glides, which are specifically meant to help slide heavy items across hard surfaces/flooring without causing scratches. What's the difference between the felt and the plastic? Why would you choose one over the other?

This is for carpeted flooring the hard plastic sliding on the carpet while the legs of whatever you are moving sit on the inside felt so they are not damaged and prevent the slider from slipping out while your moving it.

These work fantastic. I have very thick carpet and I have put them under my dressers and a heavy chest and now I can slide them without any issue I highly recommend also they are a great value.

I am a senior and I have a big bed and it was getting to be a problem to move it to change the bed every week and I got these casters a friend of mine put them under the bed and it's so amazing and so easy and now I don't have a bad back every time I have to move to bed thank you

These are the perfect size: length, width, thick enough and easy to use for a huge door to slide back and forth without damage to door. Good floor protection. Holds onto door yet slides freely on rug. I recommend these sliders. They do what they say they’ll do
