Great scale
I've been using this scale for about a week now, and absolutely love it! It was easy to get set-up and calibrated. I really appreciated that the calibration weight came with this scale. So far it seems very accurate and that it will last me for a very long time. Up until now, I've been using cheaper, battery operating ones, and while this is quite a bit bulkier, it's worth it to know that my measurements are way more accurate!

Very Nice Scale for Simple Weighing and Great For Counting Small Items
Good accuracy and repeatability. Easy calibration. One feature I never thought of having is the counting mode. Place 10, 20, 50, or 100 items that need to be counted in a container on the scale that has been tared, press the count mode, and when the number matching the number in the container shows up, press the button again. With 20 items in the container and 20 showing on the screen, you're set. Take one item at a time out and the scale will reflect the correct number on the screen. Counting nuts, bolts, washers, beads, buttons (so long as they are identical), beans, nails, whatever. Makes counting bulk items into smaller containers a breeze.

User Friendly / Rock Solid
I have many hi precision lab scales but for everyday use around the shop, this is my favorite. We now have three of this exact 5kg scale. Rock solid.

Perfect scale for serious home bakers and cooks!
This is a fantastic scale for home kitchen use! You can measure just a few grams of seasonings, or measure all the ingredients for 4 loaves of bread at one time. (Including the mixer bowl) Don't waste your money on cheaper, less accurate scales. This one may be a bit bulkier, but that gets you a much higher quality tool. This model reaches a stable point faster than other similar scales I've tried, which speeds up getting to the weight you're looking for. Most of the cheap kitchen scales will not even register small additions, and will give you different numbers if you remove the bowl and put it back on the scale. This scale gives you consistent results, and calibrates easily. The rechargeable battery lasts a very long time, and the display stays on until you turn it off. No need to worry about having to start over because the scale turned off!

Good scale; 500g "calibration standard" supplied with unit was inaccurate.
Accurate scale, fast convergence, good repeatability; efficient and simple user interface. Accuracy well within specification right out of the box (using independent cal standards). The 500g "calibration" weight supplied with the units was not accurate, however, and had to be discarded.

Useless brick. No batteries, battery installation impossible. Power cable NOT PROVIDED. AVOID!
Total disaster. Page 1 of the User manual asks: "Please do not give us bad reviews and returns. Please contact us to resolve...because of various expenses.......our profit is very low....Thank you for your understanding and support." Well, I do not understand the fact that no power cable was provided. I do not understand why there is no indication of what type of battery is to be used. The battery compartment is not configured to take ANY known battery. AAA, NO, AA, NO 9v? NO. C cells? NO. D cells? NO. And the indicated power cable with transformer is not included. It's just not there. There is a mysterious cable in the battery compartment, but that's it. Nothing to insert any known battery type. Obviously, this never was turned on. It's a brick and is going back. A very poor attempt at providing a product. I deeply regret buying this item. It came late and wasted even more of my time. I will avoid "RUISHAN' products permanently. Please AVOID!

Accurate to +/- 0.02 grams over 1-700 grams. (Tested to weight standards)
I use my scale to measure items that are 26.32 grams. (range of 25-27 grams) and am interested in variances of about 0.02 grams. Summary of analysis: - Regularly accurate to +/- 0.02 grams - Works good for unit counting - Stabilizes quickly - May need to do a second tare after about 5-10 minutes of turning on. (Keep an eye on the tare 5 minutes after turning on.) - Some challenges in measuring or add/removing low weights like 1 & 2 grams (Note: This is a 5000 gram scale) Longer explanation of process used: I tested mostly around 5 to 35 grams. Note that this scale has a range of 5000 grams so I did all of my testing on the lower end of it's scale. (1 to 710 grams) I used combinations of weight standards 100g, 20g, 20g, 10g, 5g, 2g, 2g, 1g, and also used the 500g calibration weight provided with the scale. After calibrating the scale with the 5000g, I placed each of the calibrated weights on the scale. Each weight measured correctly to 0.01 g (All except the 2.0 g measured exact on the display) I did not use the RS232 port at all, I just tested for accuracy between 1-700 grams. See the attached video. Bless ya !
