What is the difference between this game and the older version (with the orange/red bordered box)?

I lat saw the older versionwhen I was eight. To my eye, the game, pieces, cards look the same-beautiful.

What age level is this game for ?

I would say best for ages 5 and up. There are about 12 pictures to memorize and a lot of counting. My son started really liking this game this year at age 6

Sorry, I am totally missing the point. We’ve read the rules with my husband and both still have no clue how to play after the rolling the dice part:))

It's a memory game with a forest instead of tiles. You move to the tree and look under it. You move to another tree and you look under it next turn. Try to remember where the items are so when the king asks for something you can go to the castle. That's the point.

Are the trees and playing pieces made of wood?

Family Fun

The board and pieces are sturdy and well-made. The rules can be understood very quickly, and the game is as fun as it is easy to play. It has good replayability-value since no two game-layouts will be identical. My eight-year-old loves it, and since I love memory games, I love it too.

Adquirí el juego en una oferta flash por 8 euros, y toda una ganga. Es la versión inglesa, pero el idioma no es necesario para jugar (encontramos las instrucciones traducidas en una famosa web de juegos). Es un juego de memoria y estrategia muy entretenido dónde el objetivo es encontrar los tesoros que los reyes van solicitando (todos los objetos tienen relación con cuentos, como el zapato de cenicienta o la casa de los tres cerditos). Dichos objetos están escondidos en los árboles del bosque,la misión será encontrarlo y, sin que el resto de loa jugadores sospechen, ir al castillo y decírselo a los Reyes. Quien consiga descubrir tres objetos gana la pastida. Claramente, los otros jugadores podrán emplear artimañas para impedir que un jugador llegue al castillo. Perfecto para jugar en pareja como en grupo

A classic family game that has stood the test of time

A great board game I remembered from my childhood. My wife and daughter loved the first game and we can’t stop playing. Great for developing counting skills, memory and strategy. Adaptable rules for kids makes this game easy for them to play. Takes about 20 minutes with three of us. A critically acclaimed game (it was Spiel des Jahres in the 1980s) that has stood the test of time. Can not recommend enough.
