Fun kit. Big reward for little money!!
ASE Certified Master Technician with 30 years experience. This was a fun kit to make. Not too much soldering though. Easy soldering with nothing too small or difficult. Sounds good for what it is. Connects well every time. Instructions were incorrect on one step. The step to connect the light control to the power supply. I was able to connect it to the switched 5V power and ground circuit at the switch and it works perfect. The screws holding all the panels together were a challenge for my FAT FINGERS but I like a good challenge. My switch was too large and too stiff and cracked the panel when I tried to install. I would heat it up a little to make it pliable or trim the tabs off next time. I liked this so much I ordered another one for my wife. Hers was missing a couple screws and they quickly replaced the missing parts with another kit. I was also able to replace my broken panel out of the replacement kit. This is a great beginner kit. This was her third kit to make and she loved it as well.

Awesome speaker kit...
Bought this for my son as he has been wanting to get more into electronics. And who can't use a little practice soldering? He said it was pretty simple to put together. Nothing was difficult. Normal soldering is about it. Instructions are good as well. Not going to say it has amazing sound, it is a inexpensive kit. But sure is a fun kit to put together. And it looks cool with the lights. Very happy with the kit, would gladly recommend.

You get what you pay for.
It's a pretty simple kit. I bought it because of its looks. There are multiple versions of this kit, and you get the version you get randomly. The included folded single sheet instructions are not complete. There is a QR code to the fully updated instructions that works for all versions of this kit. The sound is meh at best, mainly because of the acrylic case. The speakers are not bad for their size and power rating. But the acrylic case is just a bad enclosure for them. The case is also a pita to assemble. It would take a wall of text for me to explain the best methods to get it together, so I'll just let you the buyer figure it out, lol. You can solder the electronics up in 10-15 minutes. You'll spend the next hour or two getting the case together. My biggest criticism is with the LED's. They are rgb so they can be any color. For some reason, the tend to heavily biased to red. Yes, they will change colors, 95% of the time, they are gonna be so hue of red. All in all, it's cheap, sounds OK at best, and doesn't really look as great as I'd hoped it would since the LED's like red so much. But it's still simple and a kinda cute little tech toy. Worth it for under $20 if you're looking for something unique looking to toy with.

Good sound quality, but tough for beginner.
Instructions are not great for this product and super clear. I was a first time user and my first package came USED (possibly fault of amazon and not seller idk???). Had to get a replacement because the first one was not usable and putting together the outside pieces broke one of them trying to be very careful even as the instruction says, but couldn't help it was tough to get socketed properly. Much smaller than I expected, but the sound quality and sound output is great and I was happy with that. I think I messed up soldering the lights because they don't work and I will take it apart and try it again, but for noobie had some troubles and fun learning.

The wrong manual was linked
I'm giving this only 1 star because the paper inside the kit had the wrong QR code to the manual. What I got was a similar but totally different set of instructions, making it impossible to complete the kit. However, looking at other reviews, I noticed someone posted a photo with a different QR code (photo attached). That QR code worked! If the correct manual was included, I would rate this kit much higher because once I had the correct instructions it was fun to build.

excellent, fun, overperforms
Possibly the best 24 bucks I've ever spent. I built it in an evening, the hardest part is assembling the case, good soldering practice for anyone who has an idea of how to do it, complete noobs should watch some u tube vids before attempting it, the only problem I found was that the power switch would not fit into its hole, I used a nail file to lengthen the hole in a couple of minutes, the case will crack if abused. Once it's assembled it is quite sturdy and the sound quality and volume are great for the price, surprisingly loud, no real distortion at max volume, obviously not audiophile quality but I was impressed by the sound quality. The bluetooth is also very good, long range, easy connections. I like the lightshow, some people might be able to modify it to suit their taste. I'm thinking about putting a battery in it to make it more portable. If you think you want one buy it, you won't regret it.
