I recently got the GAN 356 i Carry 2 Smart Speed Cube 3×3, and it’s hands‑down one of the best cubes I’ve ever used. Whether you’re a beginner learning algorithms or an advanced solver looking to improve PBs, this cube delivers smooth, fast performance every time.

I have tried quite a few brands of cubes and this GAN cube is my favorite thus far. I am not a crazy cube solver who can move all the sides like a pro but I can make a few moves fairly quickly. Compared to the Rubiks brand cube this one feels tight (in a good way) and snaps into place after each move. The rubiks brand one feels more "sloppy" and often needs to be pushed together after multiple back to back moves and it sort of comes apart a little. The magnets on this cube make it pull in after each move which is extremely satisfying and feels great. The app that works with it is also decent. I only really use it for timing my solves and trying new algorithms. It worked right away and easily found the cube which was nice. I would recommend this cube to others.

(in csTimer, go to option -> timer -> entering in times with -> bluetooth) Yay!updated feb 5, 2023Without a working app, this becomes a regular cube and all the benefits of the smartness goes away.The app is bloated, frequently requires updates, requires internet connection even if you just want to use the offline functions. Practically never let you use it without first checking for updates, requires a login, even if you never use any online function. Don't bother with this until they release an offline only app that is stable, doesn't require a login, especially if you're only looking to train algorithm muscle memory, or track stats. As of this writing, the latest version of the app doesn't work, so all of the smart cube functions are be used and this is now a regular cube.---The cube is fast. But seems delicate. App is useful for algorithm drills and building up muscle memory. Otherwise the app is bloated and kinda sucks. Unnecessarily requires internet connection and a login even if not using social features.So far app is reliable and pretty good for algorithm drills: you can repeat an algorithm without needing the cube to be in any particular state, the app will tell you if you've messed up.App can be used to teach beginners how to solve via proper systems. There are defaults for ZZ, ROUX, and CFOP.

I really really like the algorithm section where you can learn algorithms. Not only that, you can put an customize your own algorithms. I like how it it tells you what steps to do with the algorithm and it really has made a great impact on me ever since I started cubing like 4 weeks ago. I've putting a bunch algorithms for oll and pll from J Perm. Highly recommend watching J perm and getting this cube as well. It also has a blocky-ish feel to the cube but if you really dont like it then some lube and tensioning should make it less blocky. Its also surprisingly light for all the features it has. I also like the medium magnet strength. Its just the perfect strength for cubing. I've been trying to get faster ever since i started cubing. I had a personal best of 01:03 seconds and an average of 01:30 at first but I've been narrowing the time little by little with the smart cube. The algorithm feature really helped my time on learning by a lot and now i average 00:35 seconds and i have a new personal best of 00:20. I got my first ever 20 second solve with this cube which i find really good since i have started quite recently

I've purchased several products from GAN over the past year and have mostly been happy. I was hoping to get a smart cube that could help me practice algorithms, etc. The cube itself is pretty simple in its construction, akin to a sub $10 cube. My main issue with this is the app. Its absolute garbage. Getting the cube to pair with my S24 Ultra was very difficult, and after it finally connected it somehow disconnected before I could get into using it. The app also starts up with Chinese writing for the menus, so anyone who doesn't understand the language has to guess their way through the app and features. It uses a large wafer style battery and out of the box, the cube was pretty much dead. Maybe it was sitting on a shelf somewhere in a warehouse for a long time. I ended up getting rid of this and getting the GoCube, which has a thousand times better app. Skip this cube and buy one of GAN's regular cubes, or pick up the GoCube if you want app compatability that actually works.

My son absolutely loves this cube! He’s been playing with it nonstop and especially enjoys the intelligent tracking feature. It’s helped him improve his solving speed quite a bit—he's definitely gotten faster since he started using it. The cube itself feels smooth and turns really well, making it a fun challenge. He’s been playing online with it too, and it’s definitely boosted his confidence and skills. If you’re into speed cubing or just looking to level up, this is a solid choice!

Ok, I just received my GAN356 i Carry cube today.. like less than an hour ago. This is my first purchase of a "smart speed cube" that's works with a (the Cube Station) app.First thing, the package was in perfect condition. HOWEVER, after opening it and taking the cube out of the clear storage case it comes in.. I noticed A LOT OF LIQUID AROUND THE BOTTOM. Enough liquid that, I assume during shipping, moved all up the sides and into the inner part of the cube. The instructions do say to lubricate some parts inside.. soo I assume the liquid was "said oil". I really wish I would've taken a picture for you guys to see.Secondly, the app is NOT user friendly. At least not for me.. as a first time user. It's constantly saying cube is not connected and to verify. Then it says it's verified.. then not verified. Connected.. not connected. And on and on. I connected to my wifi to see if that would help and it did... BUT it only reduced the amount of disconnection notifications LOL. Like what's going on?!?Finally, after trying to set it up (just about an hour now).. THE BATTERY IS ALREADY DEAD.It's not doing anything at all. It didn't even last for a whole hour. Are you kidding me?!?*Please note that this model is NOT chargeable - it requires a specific battery and a little tiny micro screw driver* .... neither of which I have on deck because I was expecting to have at least an estimated 200+ hours of play time BEFORE worrying about that.Soo, I'm going to return this one because I'm honestly not sure if it's truly a dead battery or if all that liquid that was in there damaged it somehow. But I'm not going to chance it and risk missing my return/exchange window because I waited and end up with a cube that doesn't work properly. Because what would be the point.I will let you all know how then next one comes.(Edit: Sorry for the delay, I honestly forgot to give the update lol but here it is. After cleaning the cube and letting it sit for a while, it started to work .... then after 10 min or so it stopped again. I went to the store and purchased a couple batteries and the micro screw driver that's needed and then it worked and has ever since. So the cube is good! THE APP ON THE OTHER HAND could use some work. It's still very glitchy and disconnects using my phone's data. This is frustrating because it limits me on where/when I can use the cube.. meaning that wifi isn't always available when I'm out and about, soo I feel stuck having to use it only at home, where I do have good wifi. And even with that, it's still a little bit meh. With that being said I'm giving the Cube itself 5 stars and the app 1 star. However (since they're supposed to function TOGETHER) I give the whole thing 3 stars!

Ich beschäftige mich seit ca 10 Jahren mit Zauberwürfeln und bin seit über einem Jahr fortgeschrittener Speedcuber. Die Würfel von GAN sind seit dieser Zeit schon immer meine Favoriten unter den Cubes und ein wichtiger Bestandteil meiner Sammlung (über 60 verschiedene Würfel, 8 GAN-Cubes). Daher kann ich hier ein sehr gutes Feedback bezüglich der Funktionalität / Hardware geben.Bei dem Thema "Smartcubes" konnte ich bisher mit dem Giiker und Rubiks Connecteds Erfahrungen sammeln und habe daher auch auf diesem Gebiet gute Vergleichsmöglichekiten. Mit beiden bin ich an sich zufrieden, jedoch störten mich immer die Sticker. Und ganz ehrlich - ich hatte nur auf einen neuen Smartcube von GAN gewartet (die GAN 356i Serie hatte ich wegen der recht schlechten App immer gemieden)Hier nun erstmal alles in Kürze zusammengefasst:Positives:- sehr guter Speedcube- zahlreiche Einstellungsmöglichkeiten und damit individuell anpassbar- sehr leicht (im Vergleich zu anderen Samrtcubes wie dem "Giiker" zB)- die App reagiert zuverlässig auf jede Bewegung und das mit einer sehr guten Reaktionszeit- die detailreiche Auflistung des Lösungsweges inkl. visueller Darstellung- Übungsmodus für alle Algorithmen- Duell-Modus- keine FarbstickerNegatives:- das Erstellen eines Accounts kann sehr nervig sein - ich habe heirfür ca 30min gebraucht, da der Server scheinbar nicht erreichbar war- WLAN, Standort und Bluetooth müssen für die Benutzung aktiv sein- gelegentliche Abstürze der App bzw. Verbindungsabbrüche (kam bei mir 3mal in 4Stunden vor)- keine Einstellmöglichkeiten für die Stärke der Magnete - gehört bei anderen GAN-Würfeln zur Grundausstattung- nur 2 Sprachausgaben (Englisch + Chinesisch)- kein eingebautes Gyroskop (erkennt keine Rotation des Würfels)Zusammenfassung:Ja die App ist - wie auch bereits bei der GAN 356i Reihe - eine Baustelle. Jedoch habe ich in den letzten Wochen das Gefühl, dass daran regelmäßig gearbeitet wird und die Probleme weniger geworden sind. Das Anmelden und Erstellen eines Accounts benötigt auch etwas Ruhe und Nerven - aber am Ende lohnt es sich!Der GAN i Carry ist ein gelungener Smartcube, der sowohl für Anfänger als auch für Fortgeschrittene und Profis eine lohnenswerte Anschaffung ist. Die Einstellungsmöglichkeiten sind für einen Smartcube vielseitig und einmal angemeldet funktioniert alles auch fast ohne Probleme. Der Würfel fühlt sich wie ein sehr guter Cube an und ist auch ohne App ein wahres Vergnügen.Da die Mängel im Vergleich zu den Vorteilen (für mich) vernachlässigbar sind, gibt es hier von mir auch 5 Sterne und eine klare Kaufempfehlung für jeden leidenschaftlichen Cuber.Cheers

I'm a 35 second average CFOP solver with a PB of 26 seconds. I use full PLL (a bit slowly) and two look OLL. I did have a Gan 365i2 but unfortunately it broke so I got a refund and ordered this cheaper one instead.First thing to notice is that the cube is a lot less crunchy then the 365i2. It seems to be very well lubricated and turns very smoothly. As I said earlier, I'm not particularly fast so I couldn't compare it to the very best speed cubes, but it feels like the fastest cube I've ever used. It comes with extra springs and screws so you can customise it to your preference, but I'm finding the default set-up to be just fine. Other differences between this and the 365i2 are the non rechargeable battery and lack of a gyroscope. I did like the gyroscope on the 356i2 but the extra cost just isn't worth it.The CubeStation app has come in for some criticism and some of it is justified. However, it is improving and there are some great features. I like the weekly world wide leader board which takes the average of your best 20 solves for the week and ranks them globally. This is great for comparing times with others, and gives motivation to try and get a top 20 solve to improve your average. You can have battles with others online which doesn't really interest me so I won't comment further. There's also a section on algorithms which I did look at but it does seem a bit complicated, maybe I'll take another look at some point. The app is still a bit cluttered and because it's originally in Chinese there are bits that haven't been translated well. There is so much more they could do with the stats section and hopefully they will develop it. I'd like to see- Stats on different PLL cases and time taken on each- Breakdown of how long to solve each F2L pairs- Similar analysis of AO5, AO12 and A100 that are used in the Go Cube/Rubiks Connected App- Ability to download the data so that I can carry out my own analysis in ExcelAs is said above, they are regularly updating the app so hopefully they will start to implement some of these things. If not, I'm sure that online timers such as Cubeast will be adding compatibility in the near future.For me, the whole concept is brilliant. Not worrying about timers and pressing the spacebar every time you complete a section of CFOP is massively liberating. I can't see that I'll ever go back to doing that. The cube is great and the app is improving. Best of all, for a price of £35 this is absolutely amazing value. Hopefully the availability issues will be sorted soon - when they are, this will become the most popular smart cube on the market.

Onze kleinzoon vroeg deze kubus voor zijn verjaardag. De kubus draait licht en snel (handig voor wedstrijden). Na koppeling met de smartphone kan je spelen tegen echte tegenstanders in NL en andere landen. Tevens zie je goed welke handelingen je op de kubus verricht en in hoeveel stappen je de kubus oplost. Zo krijg je mooie statistieken te zien. Mooi product dat doet wat het beloofd.

The cube itself is great, it's not on par with the best speedcubes obviously but it comes close, and it's a pleasure to use. Compared to the i356 and i356v2, the Bluetooth protocol is massively improved, resulting in better connection and less delays; the difference is rather noticeable. It lacks the gyroscope, but it comes at a lower price for this reason. Unlike the other models, this works with a replaceable 1632 battery, so you don't need a charger; I prefer internal battery and a charger, but that's matter of taste.The app is not bad, but it is a bit lacklustre. It's improving iteration after iteration though, and they do listen to user feedback. If you don't like it, there are several third-party timers with interesting features that you can use as an alternative.Overall, it's a great cube, and Bluetooth is just great when it comes to track statistics and performance. I use almost exclusively this one for training. Recommended.
