Complete, light, durable dish set. Everything you need for one person. The dishes are light enough, but they won't please the gram counters I'm sure. These are sturdy enough that they don't feel like you're going to dump food in your lap. Also on that front, the plate and bowl gave a thum test that makes it easy to hold them one handed. Easy to wash, nice smooth, seamless insides. Cup is 16+ ounces and has graduations inside for measuring, but on the dark colors they're hard to see well. Bowl and plate hold three cups each, but that's full to the brim. Useful volume is two cups. The plate has a large diameter; feels more like a dinner plate than a camp plate. The silverware is compact but big enough to be useful. The knife has a serrated edge, so it cuts cooked food well enough, but it won't be useful for chopping and slicing raw foods. The spoon has a deep bowl, meaning it's actually useful as a spoon and makes easy work of soup. The mesh bag completes the set, keeping dishes together and provide information a dip bag and drip bag when camping. L

Bought these for my boys to use while camping with the Boy Scouts and they are really the best quality mess kits available to purchase at this time. They are the only mess kits I've found after a lot of looking around that is actually pretty thick plastic, which makes them not only sturdier but also easier to handle once you put hot food in it or on it. Plus it's BPA-free. Plus, it can all clip together, except for the cup, but then it all can also fit into a nice mesh bag that comes with it. Plus, they have nice traction on the bottom to prevent spilling. I am so very glad I spent the extra money buying these sets instead of the cheaper ones. These could easily last for years and years.

I just bought two of these for a Boy Scout camping trip, one for me and one for my son. It's thick plastic and quite sturdy, unlike some of the other plastic mess kits that are flimsy and can bend. So sturdy, you can easily hold a loaded plate with one hand and not worry it's going to dump your food out. And the texture on the bottom prevents hot food from transferring its heat to your hand, which would be uncomfortable.

Bowls, plates and spoon work great; fork is a complete waste of time, the knife is nearly useless except as a implement to shove peas onto the fork or spoon. Haven’t really used the cup for hot or cold beverages but they worked well for our wine. The system is wonderfully light-weight, and we made quick work at wash-up time. Kinda ugly color, but this isn’t exactly Limoge. They’re a little on the spendy side, but we’re still happy with them overall.

We are happy with this mess kit because it is sturdy, easily fits in the travel bag, and washes easily. Plus the thumbhole to help hold the plate in hand is nice touch.

Have two other sets already; bought a third. Love the fact that there is a plate that can hold a good amount of food without spilling, a good size bowl and a legit cup (not a “sippy” cup).

Really solid dinner set for camping. Not even my teenage son could break it! Generous size plate, bowl and mug. Dishwasher safe too if using at home.
