MokerLink 11 Port Gigabit PoE Switch with 8 PoE+ Port, 2 Gigabit Uplink, 1 SFP Port, 120W AI Detection, Qos, Fanless Metal Plug & Play Unmanaged Network Switch

Loved the built in AC cable receptacle because it saved me space on my crowded AC strip by not having the usual wall wort. My previous switch was an expensive Ruckus which stopped passing data through its ports and failed to pass POE to my access point in the ceiling. Having built in POE on most of the ports saved me from buying an expensive power injector and one more wall wort. Internet came back up near instantaneously, just perfectly plug and play. Fantastic value for the cost. So happy it made getting my internet service back very easily.

The item title needs a little tweaking because it's really 14 ports (8 2.5GbE, 2 10GbE and 4 SFP+) Out of the box this switch performs quite well. There are no issues running a 10GbE connection to my other 10GbE switch nor did I have problems running 10Gb fibre connections to other switches using Dell branded 10Gb SFPs. The noise is negligible under normal loads. As a bonus, the switch includes ears for rack mount installations. The management website is also quick and responsive and shows a great deal of information on the status page including ports in use, memory usage and CPU utilization. The switch has a number of standard features such as VLANs, port security, QoS, ACL management and link aggregation among other things. The manual that comes with the switch is only sufficient to get the switch up and running as it appears to be written for various models.

A neat switch that helps bring it all together. Ethernet, from one gigabit to 10 (but intended for 2.5Gb). Sfp ports for 10 gigabit ethernet or fiber (depending on your sfp type, sold separately). Relatively quiet, homelab friendly. Dedicated management port. Management options via web browser or command line via telnet or ssh. It can also move data pretty quickly, since that's its primary function. Edit : it's getting weird over time and 10g to 10g transfers can nearly kill it, massive packet loss can strike at any time. Rebooting fixes it. Not the most silent, or the prettiest, or the most robust cooling, but it is a very strong value for the wide variety of connectivity options it gives you. I am very pleased with it so far but dinged it a star because the web interface is crude, primitive and doesn't flow logically, and I feel like at this price point, we should have a few PoE+ ports. No deal breakers, this highly converged unit gives you plenty of bang for your buck. Wish it was more reliable.

The MokerLink 8‑port 2.5G managed switch with 10G SFP+ has been rock‑solid since the day I installed it. All eight 2.5G ports negotiated cleanly, and the 10G SFP+ uplink locked into full‑duplex immediately using a 10GBase‑T module. It has been running continuously with zero errors or link issues. Excellent value for anyone building a multi‑gig home lab or network.

I like probably many running out of ports on my all in one routers, a Nighthawk. Plus needed PoE to run an Aruba which is the plan to better update wireless over time. Standards are just rocketing in improvements and all in one solution too costly to just replace. Keep in mind this is a simple switch and does not have all the features an all in one might have. There is a GUI and some configurations if I recall, double check on that. Price to performance I am not sure you can beat it. Cousin recommended it and as far I can recall have not had to reset it by a power cycle for any reason. I plan to eventually move to a router to run the modem through and allow the Pi-Hole to run DHCP service.

I've been happy with other MokerLink products. They tend to do better with large models. The smaller models cheap out on the web interface and have worse performance. The positive here is the price which beats most of the competitors, especially for a managed device. It is a solid metal case. The ports connect firmly with no loose connections. At first, I was quite pleased with this switch. It is nice to have 2 SFP+ ports which allows me to do more with this box. For example, you can use it to bridge your internet service with a 10G network. However, the configurability is really not that great. Yes, you can configure VLANs, change your admin password, and setup port isolation. However, the web interface is really not that great. This switch doesn't have the flexibility of it's larger counterparts from MokerLink. For example, you cannot configure an administrative VLAN for the web interface. It is clearly not up to the same standard and feels more like an afterthought. The performance is not very good either. Perhaps it's related to the point about the administrative VLAN, but there are quite a number of drop-outs to ping requests on the admin IP. The LAN ports appear to be fairly solid, but the admin pings are not. The 10G uplink using a DAC cable from one MokerLink switch to another tends to accumulate errors. This seems to be getting worse with age. Pros: - Inexpensive - Solid - Good fit - Good speed and ports Cons: - Horrible Web Interface - Narrow configurability - Performance issues I liked this switch at first, but it is performing worse with time. I'm afraid that saving money with this unit is going to cost me over time as I'll probably need to upgrade to a better performing switch.

Das Gerät wurde benötigt um mehrere Faktoren zu erreichen. Erstmal 2,5 G Netzwerk, das kann es wie versprochen 👍 Lüfterlos und Leise 👍 Managed Webgui inkl. VLAN , hier waren oft schlechte Bewertungen zu lesen, die ich zumindest wiederlegen kann.. Da ich zur Zeit noch Kabel-Internet habe und zukünftig ein Glasfaser Modem im Keller montiert bekomme, aber ich meine neue Fritzbox mit WiFi 7 nicht mehr im Keller haben will. War das die Anforderungen die benötigt werden... Das Kabel des Internet Anschluss VLAN 10 muss in port 1 des Mokerlink Switch, an Port 2 wurde VLAN 30 erstellt, welches dann die Daten Pakete von 2 Verschiedenen Netzen sauber getrennt verpackt und vom Keller ins Arbeitszimmer versendet und auch empfangen kann. Das macht dieser Switch wirklich zufriedenstellend 👍 Zum Thema Webgui zur Konfiguration, kann ich nur selbst berichten das diese zwar nur in Englisch ist, aber sehr einfach und extrem übersichtlicht gehalten ist. Zum Vergleich zu meinen alten Netgear Managed 1GB Switches ist , bzw. war es extrem einfach und schnell das Teil zu konfigurieren für das was ich brauche 👍 Als Gegenstelle dieses Mokerlink Switch ist einer dieser alten Netgear Switch noch im Einsatz, der aber nun zukünftig gegen einen weiteren Mokerlink die nächsten Tage auch noch ersetzt wird. So das einem kompletten 2,5Gb Netzwerk nichts mehr im Wege steht 😁 Das letze was mich nun persönlich noch etwas zittern lässt, sind die paar Rezessionen die berichteten das ihre Geräte nach relativ kurzer Zeit kaputt gingen. Das Risiko gehe ich jetzt mal bei dem Preis, ein in der Hoffnung das dies auch nur einzeln Fälle waren..... Aber das werdet ihr merken, wenn sich meine 5 Sterne Bewertung nicht verwandelt, lebt die Hardware noch 🤭

After reading some of the reviews here I want to remind you that you need to click on Tools/save and then save. Otherwise the configuration is lost after reboot :) I have 4 of these switches and they are just great value! Edit: Sadly now after owning these for a while, they are starting to break. 3 of them have broken after restart/disconnect. Amazons support has been great though, and refunded me.

Great little switch with two SFP+ interfaces. I've been using it only for a few weeks, so I cannot review its longevity, but it performs very well, and the software interface provides nice level of configurability (VLANs etc.). I placed it in the shadow to avoid overheating from direct sunlight; and also placed it vertically to aid airflow through the device (and thereby cooling). Unless exposed to direct sunlight, it runs quite cool, so I have no worries.
