I bought this Retro-Bit wireless Sega Saturn wireless controller for my Saturn console. I have used it a few times now to play Dragon Force and it worked great. One time it lost connection but it was after using a memory card and unsure if needs a firmware update to fix issue as it randomly stopped working during playing. Unsure if it was due to low battery. The manual has no information as to what the controller does or gives any indication if the battery is low. I've read reviews the controller has a slow drain on the battery after shutting down console so it's possible it needed a fresh charge before using. Still giving this a 5-star because I am extremely impressed that I am able to play my Saturn with a wireless controller for the first time ever since getting the console back in the 90's. Says it works on PS3 as well as PC so that is a bonus too but I only plan on pairing it with the Saturn. The wireless pairing didn't seem to work one time once the game was booted up out of the loading screen but have only used the controller a few times so I'm sure I'll figure out the best time to pair the system (which I'm guessing is right at boot up). Had to use the reset controller option once to get it to pair with the system again after it dropped connection as mentioned above. Was not hard to do. Worked fine after. It also dropped connection while saving to the memory card and the system also froze up so could have been the main issue. Never once had an issue using the controller with the system without the memory card cartridge inserted & using the internal storage for saving/loading. The case that comes with the controller is a really nice bonus. I keep the controller in the plastic case for storage as well as the wireless dongle + instruction manual. Anyone gaming on a Saturn in 2025+ should really get this controller! Say goodbye to short cables or the need to buy extensions.

While I enjoy my Sega Saturn and other classic consoles, I despise the cords on the original controllers. I was skeptical as to the viability of this controller, but it is rock solid. Here' s my reasoning for having said this: Packaging: Inside the lovely white box is a durable, transparent, hard plastic case which houses the controller and peripherals. I was pleasantly surprised to find this, and truly impressed with the quality thereof. As you can see from the attached images, this is a rather snazzy case. There are two receivers included, one for the Saturn, and a USB version if you play Saturn games via an emulator on PC. Controller: The controller is lightweight, but not cheaply constructed. It's heft is similar to original Sega Genesis 6-button controller. If you own(ed) the AT Genesis Classic Gane Console Deluxe, then this controller is about 33% larger and heavier than the AT Games unit. I've included a photo for comparison. The battery life is superb. I can get in about 2-3 hours a day for a week before I need to charge it. I actually have two of these, so I can have a hot-spare on standby. I've used both controllers at the same time to enjoy two-player games without any issues. You need sync one controller at a time. Gameplay: I haven't had any issues across multiple games and game types. I haven't tried the USB adapter yet, but plan to that out soon Overall: This is the best $35 I've spent in a while. I will be purchasing a pair of the Genesis compatible model. If you have a Sega Saturn or looking to get one soon, by all means buy a pair of these controllers. It will give you the perfect mix of nostalgic game with modern convenience.

Worked perfectly with my Saturn!

Works great for games, but if you’re using it with Saroo you need to download an update from the manufacturer, as otherwise it will act like the down button is stuck on the menu. Once updated, it’s fantastic and works great with the games I’ve tried it with. The case that it comes with is also nice to keep it in and not have to worry about losing anything.
