I grabbed these to install CV boots and tie rod end boots when I was doing some preventative maintenance on one of my cars. They work very well and with pinching edges on 2 sides, the can get in to pinch the rings on a couple different angles. These are a must-have for CV boots, inner tie rod boots, or hoses where needed.

Great tool

There's not much that can go wrong with these pliers. When I got them I didn't know what the hole in the top was for and then I found out I can crimp the hose clamps using the side of the pliers also. This has come in very handy when I didn't have much room to get the pliers on the clamp.

Works as described

It does what it has to do, good price and quality

Worked like a champ! I was finally able to use it for the first time tonight. I had to remove the oetiker clamp on a boot covering the steering rack/tie rod on a 2014 Mustang. During assembly, Ford put the clamp on top of the boot so I had to feel my way into the clamp with the side cutter in my new oeticker tool. I successfully removed both boots and then used the tool to secure the new clamp when I put the boot back on. The tool worked great and I was able to finish my task.

This is a good quality wrench for half the cost of the Knipex. Purchased for ss crimp rings on fuel & oil lines for the motorcycles. Also will use on PEX plumbing system for the house and RV. Some comments about machining made me hesitate, but there's always Amazon returns. :-) See the photos. The machining was as good as it gets...in China. This model was done really well. It looks like the front jaw of crimper has small gap, but it doesn't. Front jaw is a little thicker to cut nails off. The jaw still comes together tight. Definitely recommend.

Purchased to secure an ear clamp in a confined position. It works well and for the User that only has an occasional need is great value.
