Actually if you search youtube, plenty show this is 100% doable with a 5W laser diode. Look for youtube on results. People saying no have no experience.

this the spry works on gold or silver?

Gold and Silver are very high heat-conducting metals. Because of this, you find trouble marking with our product, unless you have a high-end, high powered laser.

Will this work on glass and leave the engraved area black?

Hi, will this work with a pulsed fiber laser? (1064 nm)?

Fiber Laser: Its a perfect solution when you need your marking to be dark black and not brownish. Also, our product are fused on the surface and do not cut through the skin of your metal or protective layer for e.g Hard Chrome. So it doesnt oxidizes and does not catch rust.

Power and Speed settings for Fiber (1064nm) Laser
Power =10 Watt 
Speed = 50 mm/sec
Q-Frequency 200-500 (500KHz gives the best result, But some fiber lasers only go up to 200 KHz)
Hatch or DPI  = 0.1 mm

Q-Frequency is very important factor to get the darkness you are expecting.
